Turpentine 5k & Color Run

Race Day Registration - 7:00-7:30 a.m.

Pre-Race Meeting - 7:40 a.m.

Race Begins - 8:00 a.m.

Awards - after last runner finishes - no later than 9:30 a.m.

TIPS FOR RUNNING IN A COLOR RUN

1. HAVE A GOOD TIME. Some run, some walk, some try to beat their best time.

2. KEEP YOUR MOUTH CLOSED. Colored teeth can be fun but hacking and spitting the color takes away from your awesomeness. When approaching a color station take a deep breath and close your mouth.

3. PROTECT YOUR EYES. The colored corn starch is non-toxic, but it can sting a little if you get it in your eyes. Wear some sort of shades.

4. PUT SOME TISSUE IN YOUR POCKET. You may need to clean your nose between stations.

5. DRESS THE PART. White t-shirts are provided for those who pre-registered. But if you did not, white is the preferred color. It will make a great souvenir. ALSO don’t be afraid to dress up. This is a fun event where you can feel like a kid again. Wigs, headbands, crazy socks and colorful pants are encouraged.

6. BRING SOME FRIENDS. Its’s more fun if you have a TEAM!!!

7. THE COLORS WILL RUN. Bring a towel to protect your seats. You may want to bring a change of clothes. You may want to wear a tank top or some sort of undershirt to keep colors from running onto your skin

8. SOUVENIR TIME. Spray shirt with vinegar, working to ensure it is completely covered and allow to dry in sun. The tumble dryer to finish setting color.
