The Palouse Sprint Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon held in Moscow, Idaho every fall. The race distance and environment are perfect for beginners, families, and fitness enthusiasts alike. The PST is also a great race for triathletes looking to finish their season with a fast performance.

Not quite ready to do entire race? Get together with two friends and enter as a team. Whatever you do, give it a TRI!!!

In 2019, we have added a sprint distance duathlon to run simultaneously with a 2.5K run, 15K Bike, and 5K run.

Proceeds from the race benefit the following community organizations:

    • Moscow Central Lions Club Sight and Hearing Program

    • University of Idaho Vandal Cycling Club

    • Moscow High School Environmental and International Clubs

    Event details and schedule

For the sprint triathlon, enjoy a refreshing 500 yard swim in an outdoor 25 yard pool, then head out on a 15K ride on a paved road past gently sloping wheat fields, and finish it off with a 5K run. Athletes will be organized into one of eight swim heats based on their estimated overall finish time. Slower athletes will be seeded into one of the earlier heats, faster athletes in one of the later heats. First swim heat starts at 7:00 am with the following heats starting at 20 minute intervals.

In 2019, we added a sprint distance duathlon to run simultaneously with a 2.5K run, 15K Bike, and 5K run.

The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. A one-day USAT license must be purchased or proof of annual USAT membership provided.
