Since "THAT NIGHT" so much has been done through the Aden Perry Good Samaritan and Scholarship Fund:

• Aden was awarded the Carnegie Hero Award for his selfless heroic act

• Aden received 2 medals of Valor

• We received 2 proclamations for Aden Perry Day in Broward County AND Aden's home town

• We have received multiple awards for the works being done in Aden's name through the Aden Perry Good Samaritan And Scholarship Fund

• Aden had a street named after him in his hometown of Sunrise Florida at the location of the lake where the accident took place. The street is Aden Perry Way just off of Flamingo Road in Sunrise Florida

• We are now an official 501C3

• We have given hundreds of SAT Prep, book and paid testing fees Scholarships

• Awarded over 60 monetary scholarships to graduating seniors

• AWARDED ANOTHER HERO A FULL SCHOLARSHIP TO FF/ EMT SCHOOL

• Honor students for being a Good Samaritan every year on Aden Perry Day

• Donated school supplies to over 2000 students in need

• Supplies School Uniforms and other School Clothes to students in need

• Supported other local charities

• Sent school supplies and food for children to Jamaica to help students whose schools were destroyed by Hurricane Melissa

• Helped students in protective custody and Foster Care through our Partnership with BCHBA with all their back to school needs

• Sponsored a student to perform at Carnegie Music Hall

• Sent the Western Robotics Club to State Championships

• Presented the Aden Perry Hero Life Ring initiative with the goal of having life rings along waterways to aid in future water emergencies

• Installed hundreds of Aden Perry Hero Life Rings in Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach Counties on a County level as well as in municipalities throughout those counties

• Installed Aden's Hero Life Rings on campus at FSU and NSU

​Participants have the exciting opportunity to choose between two main events: the Duathlon and the 5K Run/Walk. For those who want the ultimate test of endurance, the challenge even offers the flexibility to participate in both events. Every registrant is treated like a pro, receiving a personalized race bib equipped with an RFID timing chip for precise results, a commemorative event shirt, and a beautiful finisher medal to celebrate their achievement at the finish line.

​The South Florida Sunset Challenge is designed to be a true family affair, where all ages are welcome and encouraged to join the fun. From competitive runners chasing a personal best to families enjoying a twilight stroll, the event fosters an inclusive environment of health and wellness. On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the community will head to the hills of Vista View Park for the Fit to be Tied - Father's Day 5K, a premier event designed to celebrate dads and father figures in a high-energy, family-friendly atmosphere. This isn't just a race; it’s a full-scale celebration where families can bond while enjoying the fresh morning air and the park's scenic views. To ensure every participant feels like a VIP, the event features an incredible race package including a personalized race bib, a high-quality event shirt, and a custom finisher medal to commemorate the achievement.

​The excitement continues well after the finish line with activities tailored for all ages. Children can dive into a world of fun at the Kids Zone, featuring creative arts and crafts—like making a custom "designer tie" for Dad—and a variety of carnival games with exciting prizes to be won. For the adults, the celebration includes a dedicated "Dad's Zone" where they can unwind with a cold, refreshing beer and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow participants.
