Register by March 31st before the next price increase!

The Tenderfoot Boogie on June 20, 2026 is a beautiful trail run in Whistler, BC with 3 distances: 50K, 26K, or 12K. The 12K and 26K courses have very moderate elevation change as BC trail races go, but the 50K gets very spicy in the second half with some challenging climbs and fun descents.

The routes* are on a mix of technical and relatively non-technical hiking trails and flowy mountain biking trails. The 12k distance can be approached as a (long) stroll in the woods, but the 26k and 50 are definitely not! You must be physically and mentally prepared to run long distances on trails through the forest. Note, the 50K distance will cross Highway 99 at Function Junction two times, and runners will need to obey traffic signals. The race route does not go along the highway or any paved roads (or only briefly).

*There will likely be a course change south of Cal-Cheak suspension bridge for the 50K and 26K distances, compared to the 2025 course. The courses will be updated as soon as possible.

New for this year - we are fundraising for Zero Ceiling charity organization based in Whistler!

Your support helps youth access the outdoors!

Vail Resorts EpicPromise is providing a summer hiking package for 2, including dinner, for one lucky donor/fundraiser for Zero Ceiling – the more you raise, the greater your chances of winning.

Raise or donate $100 or more for Zero Ceiling and you will be entered into a draw to win the summer hiking package. Every $100 raised for Zero Ceiling gives you another entry into the draw.

Each year, 200–300 youth who have experienced marginalization (aged 16–27) from the Lower Mainland, Metro Vancouver, and the Sea to Sky Corridor take part in Zero Ceiling free on-mountain programs. Through skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking, youth get active, build confidence, and develop a sense of connection and belonging. Read the 2025 Impact Report.

Help empower youth today by making a donation through our race registration page: Raise money, form fundraising teams, and win prizes! The more funds you raise increases your prize eligibility. We have some special prizes just for Zero Ceiling fundraising, but you must donate through our race registration page or during your registration.

There is a $5 donation to Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA) included in every registration to support ongoing trail management. Donate to WORCA to support their ongoing advocacy and trail work.

    Pre-Race Dinner

If you are going to be in Whistler the night before the event, be sure to sign up for the pre-race dinner on Friday night. Welcome to racers, volunteers, family, and friends. Registration deadline is June 5th. Register through the Race Roster storeor during registration. Volunteers and others can sign up here.

We are grateful to run The Tenderfoot Boogie Trail Race on the Unceded Traditional Territories of the Líl̓wat and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh First Nations.

Salomon Coast Mountain Trail Running (CMTR) hosts quality, challenging, professionally-run trail events in world class destinations around BC's Lower Mainland and Thompson-Okanagan regions.

    Buckin' Hell

With almost 2500 meters / 8250 feet of climbing and descent through the rough and rugged North Shore Mountains of British Columbia, Buckin' Hell earns its name and reputation. The race starts and finishes at the Mount Seymour Resort, atop Mount Seymour, and runners begin by running straight up the mountain. After tagging a lower summit, runners will begin their 1200-meter descent down to the Seymour River far, far below. Along the way, competitors travel through remnants of old-growth forest, mixed in with modern-day bike trails, woodwork, and seemingly never-ending technical terrain underfoot. Don’t leave it all out there on the descent, as you still have to climb back on up the opposite side of the mountain to finish this thing off! Buckin' Hell is an absolute showcase of some of the best trails and vantage points that Vancouver's North Shore has to offer.

Start and finish in the scenic ski resort area of Mt Seymour Resort. Plan to stick around for our lively Beer Garden in partnership with Bridge Brewing. And don't forget — finish line pizza is included with your registration!

Distance options of a 35K course, a 50K ultra distance, and a 50K two-person relay. Featuring local favourite trails such as the Baden Powell, Mystery Lake, Neds, Severed, Brockton Lookout and the eponymous Old Buck trail, this is one of the most technically challenging 50km races you'll come across! In addition to the classic race-branded beer glass, every runner will also get a pair of these stylish red runners' gloves, also branded with the Buckin' Hell logo.

    Registration closes at 600 participants.

$5 from every registration goes towards our adoption of Bridle Path Trail via the North Shore Mountain Bike Association. Additional donations welcome. As well, one tree will be planted locally for every registration, in partnership with a Fraser Valley Indigenous Lands rehabilitation project.

Our Kids Race is a ~1km run designed for ages 3-10 with special kids' bibs and finisher stickers. Registration is free and is available online or on race morning. During registration, we offer parents the opportunity to donate to Butterfly Network, a local organization that supports families dealing with pregnancy and infant loss.

NOTE: Most CMTR events now offer ITRA points; UTMB points are no longer available

Due to consumer legislation, prices are now shown inclusive of all fees.

Final checkout will show actual pricing and fees separately.
