Luc's Run is held annually each spring in historic Tuolumne, California and Virtually Anywhere in the World. Luc's Run is known as one of the premier races in the county. We are looking at welcoming our local 10K, 2-mile, and Kids Run (ages 10 & under) back to Tuolumne, CA in 2023! And of course welcoming our supporters around the globe through our virtual run where hundreds of enthusiasts from around the world walk and run in support of Luc’s legacy on their own turf with a virtual 1/2 marathon, 10K, 2-mile, and Kids Run (ages 10 & under). Sign up for two events and save 5%, sign up for all three and save 15%!

On January 28, 2013, Luc, a United States Air Force pilot was on a training mission over the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Italy. During the sortie, Luc was forced to eject from his F-16 and did not survive the ejection. Luc is survived by family and friends who continue his Legacy through the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation.

Major Lucas Gruenther was an incredible human being. He was an outstanding F-16 fighter pilot, community role model, and a true humanitarian. He lived his life to the fullest and never took a single day for granted. Luc is remembered for the way he treated people with wisdom and kindness and was a genuine human being who made a tremendous positive impact.

All proceeds from this race go to the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation, an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The purpose of the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation is to bestow scholarships to Americans for the advancement of educational goals and self development.

Strap on your adventure hats and smear on that sunscreen, folks, because the Red Hills Ramble is back, and it's sassier, sweatier, and more rock-strewn than ever! (Seriously, we keep throwing the rocks away and they just find their way back to the trail). Nestled in the breathtaking Sierra Nevada foothills—just a stone's throw (or a rock trip) from Oakdale—this isn't your co-worker’s Sunday morning stroll. It's a springtime extravaganza where the only thing more abundant than the elevation changes are the chances to laugh in the face of adversity.

Here in the Red Hills, every little rock seems to have a vendetta against your ankles, and the sun blazes with the intensity of a thousand fiery tacos. Our trails are peppered with technical single tracks, mischievous rocks of all sizes, and fire roads that will have your calves singing odes to endurance. And then there's El Guapo—the hill so steep it's got its own fan club. Conquer it a you will be officially required to humble brag about your achievement for many, many months. And what can we say about the view from the top? Let's just say it's the kind of breathtaking scene that'll make you forget the electrolites you just lost.

Forget the "grab your swag and bolt" routine; at the Red Hills Ramble, your race swag isn't just a memento—it's a potential bandage for the battle scars you'll wear with pride. So, bring your lawn chairs, because we're turning the finish line into a fiesta of food, drinks, and maybe a beer (or two). With distances of 10K, 15K, and 30K, there's a challenge for every level of misery.

El Guapo is calling, and those trails aren't going to run themselves. Welcome to the greatest trail race in the universe—where the heat is hot, the hills are personal, and the finish line is just the beginning of the celebration. See you at the Red Hills Ramble, where we're all about making memories, nursing bruises, and living to tell the tale!
