Spin the Lakes 2026 – Event Update

We regret to share that the Spin the Lakes cycling tour scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026 has been cancelled.

This was not an easy decision, especially as this year would have marked the 20th anniversary of Spin the Lakes. Over the years, this event has brought together an incredible community of cyclists, supporters, volunteers, and sponsors in support of mental health and addiction services through CMHA Muskoka-Parry Sound.

While we will not be gathering on the road this year, we still want to recognize and celebrate the spirit of Spin the Lakes.

Community Commemorative BBQ

We invite all past participants, supporters, volunteers, and sponsors to join us for a Commemorative Community BBQ:

📍 Dorset Pavilion

📅 Saturday, May 23, 2026

🕒 Time: 11:00am-3:00pm

This will be an opportunity to share memories, reconnect with fellow riders, and celebrate 20 years of community impact.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for being part of Spin the Lakes over the years. Your involvement has helped make a meaningful difference in our community.

We hope to see you in Dorset.

    HALIBURTON FOREST TRAIL RACE

Welcome to the Haliburton Forest Trail Race

2026 will mark the 33rd annual occurrence of the event which saw its inaugural race take place in 1993. The race has grown steadily since its inception and once again we will offer your choice of 12K, 26K, 50K, 50 mile, and of course, our signature event, the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler.

The race takes place in the privately owned Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. starting Saturday, September 12, 2026 and ending Sunday, September 13, 2026.

There is a certain primal beauty found along the trails at Haliburton Forest and the absolute best way to experience it is by foot as you run on the rugged trails. Heavily forested, hilly and filled with lakes and streams it represents nature at it's best.
