August 2026 as we cycle through Windsor, Essex and Pelee Island. Soak up sandy beaches and island breezes, visit local wineries, craft breweries & distilleries - all while enjoying scenic and flat riding on newly developed and signed cycling loops. We will stay overnight in the communities of Windsor and Leamington as we ride 5 fully supported loops in the region. We'll of course be riding the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail as well as the newly created Sandwich Town loop, Heritage loop, Wine Trail, with options to visit Pelee Island and the newly constructed and cycle-friendly Gordie Howe International Bridge to the US. Please note that the event registration fee supports the charity's work to organize the 5 day event. Roofed accommodation is an additional cost. University residence accommodations are available in Windsor where camping is unavailable. Please visit our website for recommended and supported hotels and motels. We recommend that when you register for the GWTA, you also purchase Race Roster's Enhanced Protection to refund the registration cost should unexpected circumstances prevent your participation.
