The Kim’s Kindness 5K raises funds for the Kim's Kindness AND Kimberly Ann Be the Difference Memorial Scholarship Fund to continue Kim’s legacy of spreading kindness and tirelessly helping others, especially those less fortunate and in need.

Annual scholarships will be awarded to seniors graduating from Kim’s high school alma mater, Mattituck High School. In addition, one-time and monthly donations will be given to various community organizations to help spread kindness and be the difference to those in need.

• The 1 Mile Walk - Scenic walk through 1 mile of vines at Pindar Vineyards. Register by May 10 to guarantee shirt.

• Walkers and children are welcome to participate in 5K as well.1 Hour time limit kindly requested. Need to be registered for the correct distance and start on time at 9 AM behind the runners for safety of all participants.

• Race is rain or shine. No refunds or deferrals.

• Packet-Pick Up on Race Day: 7:30-8:30 AM at the "Good Day for a Run" tent. Arrive before 8:30 AM to pick up race number and shirt. Late arrivals can receive swag however, not permitted to start on course after 9 AM due to changing course markings during the race.

• 5K Chip Timed Race Starts at 9am

Join Hope for Depression Research Foundation at the 2026 Southampton Race of Hope to defeat depression. All Race of Hope events raise awareness and funds for urgent depression research.

The 5k (3.1 mile) race route is a beautiful run/walk around Lake Agawam in Southampton, NY. Participants come from all over the tri-state area and beyond, including professional and first-time runners, walkers, corporate teams, families, and children to unite as a community and raise awareness in the fight to defeat depression.

If you do not provide your correct birth date during registration and before the race begins, you will not be eligible to win speed awards, no matter your race results.
