The Sheepwash Classic Fun Run is back! 🏃‍♀️🐑

A much loved Barwon Heads tradition is being revived and brought home to the community; bigger, brighter, and full of fun. Presented by Bellarine Property, The Sheepwash Classic isn’t about fast times or serious competition; it’s about connection, laughter, and getting the whole town moving together.

With a 1km Dash, 4km Run/Walk, and 8km Run/Walk, there’s something for everyone; kids, families, walkers, joggers, runners, and anyone who just wants to be part of a great local day out. Whether you’re pushing a pram, running with friends, or chasing a personal goal, you’ll fit right in.

Best of all, this event proudly supports the local primary school, meaning every step you take helps give back to our kids and our community.

***Please note that all events start on soft sand and have approximately 1.5km of running/walking on sand between the Barwon Heads Bridge and Ocean Grove.

Course maps for the 1km, 4km and 8km events are now available to help you plan your run and get familiar with the route. Please note that the exact starting location will be confirmed and shared in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on our updates.

All participants will be able to collect their race bibs and merchandise (additional costs) on the morning of the event at the official starting area (location to be advised). We recommend arriving early to allow plenty of time for bib collection and warm-up before the race begins.

The Sheepwash Classic isn’t just about the fun – there are medals for place getters in the 4km and 8km events, for both male and female categories, plus amazing prizes for top finishers; including cash prizes!

All kids will receive a ribbon for participating, and there will also be special prizes for boys and girls, so everyone has something to aim for and celebrate. It’s all about getting involved, having fun, and supporting our school community – whether you’re racing for gold or running for fun!
