Tune up for the Great Pumpkin 10K WALKERS WELCOME

Start Time & Packet Pickup Time to be Determined in the early spring based on the Tides.

$100 Cash Prizes for Overall Winners, Age Group and Team Awards

Out and Back 10K from the Pier in Old Orchard to the Breaker in Pine Point on the beaches and then back via the roads.

    The Breakaway 5K and Marilyn & Nat Golzbein Memorial Fun Run are the principal fundraisers supporting scholarships for Old Orchard Beach High School graduates. The scholarships are awarded by the MAPS Scholarship Foundation, a group of retired educators and former students from OOB who aspire to support the continuing education of OOB High School graduates. 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the MAPS Foundation.

    In 2025, MAPS Scholarship Foundation granted sixteen $1000 scholarships to Old Orchard Beach High School graduates.

    The race start location is at the corner of Walnut St. & Milliken St. in front of the public parking lot. The course follows Milliken St. and West Grand Avenues to Ocean Park and back to the finish at The Brunswick. The course is mostly flat and fast. PR's Very Possible!! Join us at The Brunswick on the beach for a post-race continental breakfast and awards ceremony!

    Race T-Shirt for first 300 runners registered.

    *Registration closes on Monday, August 10, 2026. No race day registrations.

    Pre-race packet pick up is Friday, August 14, 2026, 4:00-6:00 pm, at the Milliken Mills parking lot, near the race start. Race day packet pick up begins at 6:00 am at the Milliken Mills parking lot. Free race day parking in the public lot on Milliken Street until 10:00 am. Free

    It’s time to get ready for the 7th annual Autumn & Ales, which will be held on September 12th, 2026.

    We will be doing the same great path this year and you can choose between the 5k, 10k or ½ Marathon - all leading back to some great ales to celebrate!

    This year we are launching 3 new parts to our race.

    1. We now support team registration, so get your friends, family, or co-workers and sign up together!

    2. You can now set up a fundraising page! All donations and sponsorships go directly to Maine Needs.. When you create a fundraising page, you can invite others to support your run by donating to the cause.

    3. We will have some great swag this year to purchase - . The first 100 runners will receive a t-shirt as part of their registration, but others are able to purchase from our store. All items will be picked up on packet pick up, or at the registration table at the day of the event.

    So join us and run along the marsh, celebrate with ales & raise money for this great non-profit!

    Tune up for the Mid-Winter 10-Mile Classic.

    Where: Jimmy the Greek's Brick Oven Restaurant 215 Saco Avenue Old Orchard Beach, Maine

    When: Always Martin Luther King Weekend Sunday January 18th (Snow Date Sunday February 14th) EXACT START TIME TO BE DETERMINED IN EARLY OCTOBER ONCE AMTRAK RELEASES THEIR TRAIN SCHEDULE. TYPICAL START TIME IS ALWAYS 12NOON OR SHORTLY AFTER.

    For whom: Race Makes Donations to: "Send a Kid to Camp" through Old Orchard Beach Recreational Department. Support your local youths.

    Packet Pickup and Final Pre-Registration: Saturday January 17th 6-8PM at Jimmy the Greeks Restaurant Old Orchard Beach. All registrants receive 20% off of food orders and FREE live music.

    Parking is available at the restaurant and on adjacent side streets unless posted otherwise (no meters to feed or fees to pay for parking in January)

    Directions:

    From North: Take I-95 Southbound and take exit 36 Saco/Old Orchard/ I-195. Go to the end of 195 and bear left at the 7-Eleven and take an immediate right onto Saco Avenue, Jimmy the Greeks on your right.

    From South: Take I-95 Northbound to exit 36 Saco/Old Orchard/I-195. Follow 195 to the end, bear right at the 7-Eleven and turn immediately right onto Saco Avenue, Jimmy the Greeks on your right.
