8th Annual Megan's Ride and Walk 2026

A bicycle ride and walk benefiting Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center

The purpose of Megan's Ride and Walk is to bring together bike enthusiasts and families for a fun morning of bike riding and walking to celebrate and remember Megan Stancliffe. Megan was a young woman who endured many physical challenges with grace throughout her short life.

About Megan's Ride

This year we are offering marked routes for a 20 and 50 mile bike ride and a route for a 5k walk. The event is moving to Westfield this year and it will be starting from Grand Junction Brewery.

All fees and donations from the event will benefit Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center. All participants who register before July 10, 2026 will receive a free t-shirt.

Celebrating the Amazing Megan

The purpose of the ride and walk is to bring together bike enthusiasts and families for a fun morning of bike riding and walking to celebrate and remember Megan Stancliffe. Megan was a young woman who endured many physical challenges with grace throughout her short life. Megan passed away at age 23 in July 2017 as a result of complications from cerebral palsy, which she contracted when she was only two weeks old. Despite the fact that Megan wasn't able to talk, endured many surgeries, and was confined to a wheelchair, she lived life with a spirit of adventure enjoying pastimes such as riding an adaptive bicycle, horseback riding, canoeing, and zip-lining. Participating in Megan's Ride and Walk honors the memories of Megan and her positive spirit.

Benefiting Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center

Founded in 1998, Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine-assisted services to children and adults throughout the Indianapolis community with physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional disabilities. Our program follows the standards and protocols established by PATH International and is led by a team of instructors with extensive training and strong equine experience. At Morning Dove, we strive to create a positive and supportive environment where participants can build meaningful relationships with horses while developing confidence, independence, and new skills. As part of the therapeutic riding community, we are honored to celebrate Megan's life with the Stancliffe family and are grateful to have been chosen as the beneficiary of this event. -- Registration cost for after-school practices and the 3-meet series is $19 plus processing fees. Team t-shirts are offered for purchase for $10. -- The email you provide will receive important updates throughout the season as well as send a confirmation email of registration.

-- There are NO LATE REGISTRATION & NO REFUNDS. Registration will close April 1st. FINAL rosters are sent to the schools April 2, 2026. In the interest of safety, we do NOT make changes to the rosters as it adds confusion during the very hectic school dismissal time. Please help us spread the word about registration and the FIRM deadline!
