Whether you're running competitively or strolling at a leisurely pace, you can bring your leashed dog along for the fun if you like. Prices - Adults - $35 and Youths (ages 4 - 14) - $30. Early Bird special - get $10 off registration if you sign up by March 15, midnight. We'll do our best, but we can't guarantee t-shirts for entries after this date.

Any optional donations you provide are also truly appreciated, so we can continue helping animals. Learn more on ARK's website or on our Facebook page: ARK for Hart.

Warren County Parks and Recreation is hosting the 3rd Annual P.A.C.E. Marathon and Half Marathon in 2026! PACE stands for Parks and Community Events, and the goal of this race is to have people experience these two communities. This year's race will feature the communities of Smiths Grove and Oakland, a truly beautiful section of Warren County, KY. All marathon and half marathon participants will receive a shirt, and marathon and half marathon finishers will receive a unique medal that features these two communities. This is a rural route that will have you oohing and aahing as you run.

Early packet pick-up for ALL races will be available Friday, May 8th from 6:00-9:00pm at Ed Spear Park. Please arrive to check in and pick-up your bib and t-shirt no later than 6:15 am on Saturday if you are unable to pick up on Friday. BOTH Half and Full marathon will begin at 7:00am. This race will begin and end at Ed Spear Park. Over 90% of the route is paved, the remaining 10% is gravel. There are moderate hills on this course! There are also several railroad crossings, so you may be stopped at some point.

Quote from a runner last year "If you're looking for a small town marathon without the hassles of a big city, do this race!"

All participants of the Half Marathon and Marathon will receive a shirt and a medal. Awards will be distributed by age and gender categories.

Introducing the Puppy Pace 5K (previously the Pup-kin 5K!)

The Puppy Pace 5K is moving to the beautiful Smiths Grove area and will take place alongside the PACE Marathon and Half Marathons for a full, fun-filled spring day of activities. Hosted by the Warren County Public Library in partnership with Warren County Parks & Recreation, this family-friendly and dog-friendly race is perfect for runners, walkers, and four-legged companions. While this race is not Halloween-themed, we will always be excited to see a dog in a costume!

All participants of the 5k will receive a t-shirt and trophies to 1st through 3rd place in each age group/gender, as well as prizes for the top three finishers and bandanas for the puppies!

All proceeds will go to Friends of Warren County Parks and Recreation, a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to provide "scholarship opportunities to ensure that children have the fundamental right of being engaged in sports programs"

Special thanks to the Warren County Public Library, the city of Smiths Grove, and the city of Oakland for all their support and assistance with this event!

    "At least it's not a 5K"

Get Ready to Whine (and Wine!) at the 2nd Annual Whine up the Hill!

Tired of the same old events that are always a 5K? Ready for a challenge with a delicious reward? Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, and join us at the stunning Maple Retreat in Park City, Kentucky (near Mammoth Cave National Park) for the first-ever Whine up the Hill!

This isn't your average race! Prepare to conquer our signature challenge – a steep climb that might just make you "whine" a little! But trust us, the view (and the vino) from the top is worth it. Our unique course, slightly shorter than a traditional 5K, takes you up the hill and then rewards you with a scenic journey through the vineyard.

Along the way, local wineries will be waiting with tasting tables, ready to offer you a sample of their finest creations (for participants 21+ with ID, of course!).

    A distance for all levels:

Whine up the Hill Run/Walk (Timed, Competitive Event): Tackle the hill, soak in the vineyard views, and enjoy the wine stops. Perfect for runners and walkers seeking a fun challenge. Participants will receive a long-sleeve shirt, while those age 21+ will also receive a commemorative wine glass. Photo ID will be required at packet pickup

Sip-n-Stroll: (Non-Timed Walking Event) Would you rather enjoy the scenery with a little less "whine" and head straight for the wine? This leisurely walking option is on the same course as the competitive event but lets you enjoy the beautiful vineyard scenery and tasting stations at a relaxed pace. Participants will receive a long-sleeve shirt, while those age 21+ will also receive a commemorative wine glass. Photo ID will be required at packet pickup

Grape Gallop Kid's Run: A fun dash for younger runners! Let them burn off some energy in a safe, shorter course that runs in a looping course around the hilltop. This event is open to participants aged 6-12 years old. participants will receive a shirt and finishers medal.

    More Than Just a Race:

Feel great knowing that all proceeds benefit a nonprofit in the Southern Kentucky region. More details coming soon.
