    🎯 Why This Matters

Finish The Ride & Finish The Run was founded by Damian Kevitt after a life‑changing hit‑and‑run. What began as one person’s effort to overcome tragedy has grown into a community movement advocating for safer streets in Southern California and beyond. By participating, you are helping raise awareness and support systemic changes—policies, education, infrastructure—that make roads safer for all through Streets Are For Everyone.

Zero Promises Run Club was born in January 2026 in San Fernando, California, from a deeply practical fear: that starting independent coaching careers might fracture the community that made the work meaningful. Cruz, a Nike Trainer grounded in accessibility, and Annysa, a life coach whose warmth makes strangers feel immediately seen, needed an answer. The run club became it. Not a business play, just a gathering place built to keep familiar faces in the same orbit and relationships alive somewhere real and consistent. Lake Balboa became the anchor, and the crew grew to around 800 members spanning every background and fitness level the Valley offers. They meet Thursdays at 19:00 and Saturday mornings at 07:00 for longer efforts. What makes Zero Promises distinct is the intentionality around the walking option, treated with the same care and pride as the running one. When you remove the expectation of pace, you remove the biggest barrier to entry. Cruz's Nike background shapes how he thinks about standards: the standard is effort, not speed. Show up. Move. Put in the work. Annysa brings the life coaching lens: when people feel genuinely supported rather than quietly judged, showing up becomes a habit. The crew's motto cuts through every expectation: Only Work. No guaranteed PRs. No shortcuts. No empty hype.
