Kid’s Dash is a fun, untimed dash for ages 10 and under. Registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specially crafted medal for our youngest runners! (If your child wants to run the kid’s dash without swag, they’re welcome to run free on race day!)

Register by midnight on Thursday, two Thursdays before race day, to guarantee your shirt!

Join us Saturday, September 12th at the University of Texas at Arlington for the HACEMOS NTX Scholarship 5K Run/Walk!

The race benefits the IMME Becas / HACEMOS NTX Scholarship Program. All proceeds from this event will go directly toward awarding scholarships to deserving students across the DFW area. Learn more about the IMME Becas / HACEMOS NTX Scholarship Program here.

The HACEMOS NTX 5K Scholarship Run/Walk involves your choice of:

• 1. a 5K Run/Walk on a certified course or
• 2. a virtual race – perfect for anyone who wants to run but cannot be with us in person on race day. Virtual Racers can complete their race from wherever they live!

About HACEMOS

HACEMOS, the Hispanic Association of Communications Employees of AT&T, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization who strive to improve the quality of life in our communities.

HACEMOS means "We Do," and through the IME Becas Program we award $1,000 to two-year college students and $2,000 to four-year college students that are selected in the next-year scholarship program application.

Registration Timeline

In-Person 5K Registration

• Early Bird Price: $20 – available through Friday, July 31st

• 1st Price Increase: $22 – Saturday, August 1st to Friday, August 21st

• 2nd Price Increase: $25 – Saturday, August 22nd to Saturday, September 12th (7:30AM)

Registration fees cover race entry only. In-person participants can add a race shirt for an additional $15. The last day to add a shirt in your preferred size to your registration is Monday, August 17, 2026. After this deadline, any extra shirts will be sold at race day on a first-come, first-served basis for $20.

All in-person participants who complete the course on race day will receive a participation medal (included in registration fee).

Virtual 5K Registration

• Without Shirt and Medal: $25 – available through Saturday, September 12th (7:30AM)

• With Shirt and Medal: $40 – available through Monday, August 17th

Registration fees cover race entry and shipping fees (if applicable).

Race Day Schedule: Saturday, September 12, 2026*

• 7AM - 7:45AM: On-site registration and packet pickup

• 8:00AM: Race time start

• 9:00AM: Post-race celebration and awards

• 11:00AM: Event officially ends

*Rain or shine we will have the 5K Scholarship Run/Walk, and no refunds will be given. At the race director's discretion we could delay or cancel for safety (lightning or other unsafe conditions). If during the course of the race it is deemed unsafe, participants are highly encouraged to return to the MAC and take cover.

Important Info

• Parking: Free parking will be available at Lot 34 (401 S. Nedderman Dr, Arlington TX 76013) and the West Campus Garage (804 UTA Blvd, Arlington TX 76013)

• Snacks: Snacks and water will be provided for participants only

• Prizes: Will be given after the race for overall male/female (more details to come)

• Pets: Following UTA campus policy, pets will not be allowed to join the 5K course

• Shirts: Unisex T-shirt can be added to race registration; the order deadline for guaranteed shirts in your selected size is TBA

• Participants to register after the T-shirt order deadline will not have the option to add a shirt to their race registration

• Any extra shirts will be sold at race day on a first-come, first-served basis for $20.

Youth 1K Fun Run/Walk (Ages 5–12)The Youth 1K is the perfect way for kids to join the Thanksgiving fun! Designed for young runners and walkers ages 5–12, this course is safe, easy to follow, and full of encouragement along the way.

Whether your child is racing for a personal best, jogging with a friend, or enjoying their first official race—this 1-mile event is all about movement, confidence, and fun.

Parents are welcome to run or walk alongside their child.

What Youth Participants Receive:

Race bib (untimed)

Finisher award (not a medal)

Snacks at the finish line

Access to the post-race festivities

Give your kids a healthy, active start to Thanksgiving morning!

VOLUNTEER WITH US

-Packet pickup: Arrive at race location no later than 6:15 am to help give out race packets and shirts.

-Aid station (Super High Priority): Provide water to participants as they pass by. Keep course clean for runners by picking up discarded cups, bottles and trash and placing it in the provided trash cans.

-Course Monitor ( Super High Priority): Help maintain a safe course by redirecting traffic away from participants and guiding participants in the right direction.

Feel free to bring pom pom, horns, music, instruments, signs etc. to encourage and cheer on runners. Bonus for creative costumes!

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancelation Policy All Lace Up Running events proceed rain or shine or snow or cold. For that reason, we have a strict no refund policy.

In the event of extreme weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to an half hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.

If conditions turns into lightening, ice or become unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.

We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.

A lot of hours, days and even months goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.

Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation.

If you are unable to participate in the event, or the event is canceled, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course. See our virtual race information for complete details
