Welcome to the Mackays Group Beachruns 2026! With spectacular palm tree-lined beaches, island views and hard run-friendly sand, there’s a lot to love about BEACHRUNS@Mission Beach!
Choose your distance from 5km, 10km or the 21km half-marathon, and get training. Or get a Team together for the 12km team-relay challenge (3km x 4 runners). Bring the kids along for the 1km children’s fun run.
The traditional Beachruns Half Marathon is run along the entire length of greater Mission Beach – covering South Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and Mission Beach. All on sand, all with ocean views to Dunk Island.
A spectacularly scenic course, for runners and the support crew.
Located in the banana mecca of Australia, BEACHRUNS is powered by bananas thanks to our major sponsor Mackays Group. They keep us running, along with club sponsors Cassowary Coast Physiotherapy, Wobble-In Bicycles, Tassal Prawns, Tasman South Mission Beach and Durack.
Coral Coast Financial Services is back to sponsor the team-relay event! This is the opportunity to get your friends, family, work mates, club together as a team. Teams run a total of 12km which is a 3km course run 4 times as a relay (teams of 2 to 4 runners).
NEW - we have a new Start / Finish base for BEACHRUNS 2026, it will be in (north) Mission Beach and we look forward to sharing the final location details with you soon.
Why not make a weekend of it… register now, get the training in, get the gang together and we will see you soon for a fun-weekend in beautiful Mission Beach.
