    The Mount Wilson Trail Race returns this year and will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. Race start time is 7:30 a.m., with packet pickup beginning at 6:00 a.m. that day. This will be the full 8.6 mile course from Kersting Court, up the Mount Wilson Trail to Orchard Camp, and back.

    Join us in donating to the Fletcher Trail Maintenance Fund, which supports our dedicated Trail Maintenance Crew volunteers with the necessary equipment, materials, supplies and tools. Your donation is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference for this historic trail running event and community!

    Our History: First run in 1908, the annual Mount Wilson Trail Race is one of the oldest trail races in California. The elevation gain is over 2,160 feet on a winding course. The original path, first used by the Gabrielino Indians, was dug out by Benjamin "Don Benito" Wilson in 1864.
