    For those that register and complete The 10K combo Ride and Run will be awarded with a second Award.

    Remember that all riders must wear a helmet to Ride a bike and must register for the Ride and Run option event.

    Weather Policy

    This event is scheduled rain or shine. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions, organizers may delay, shorten, reroute, postpone, or cancel the ride for participant safety. Registration fees are non-refundable due to upfront event expenses; however, every effort will be made to provide an alternate experience or rescheduled activity if weather significantly impacts the event. Official updates will be communicated through our event communication channels.

Riders from across the country will gather in Houston for an exciting weekend filled with scenic flat rides, social events, great food, music, and the unmatched energy of the cycling community.

    Whether you're coming to challenge yourself, connect with fellow cyclists, or simply enjoy the ride, the Summer Sizzle is designed to bring riders together for an incredible experience on and off the bike.

    • Sizzling Finisher Medal for all riders who complete the Saturday ride

    WEEKEND RIDE LINEUP

    Thursday, May 27: Shake the Lactate Ride Kick off the weekend with a fun, social, no-drop ride

    Early Arrivers Packet Pickup: TBD

    Friday, May 28: Breakfast Klub Ride & Social: TBD

    Saturday, May 29: THE MAIN EVENT - TIME TO SET IT ON FIRE with the Summer Sizzle!!

    Sunday, May 30: “The Sizzle Fizzle” Wrap up the weekend with a relaxed recovery ride and farewell spin.


    Rider Support & Safety Requirements

    • Traffic control provided by area law enforcement

    • MTHCC SAG vehicles will monitor all routes

    • Helmets Required No helmet – No ride - No exceptions

    • No earphones while riding

    • Pass on the left and announce, “On your left!”

    • Use hand signals and call out road hazards

    Event SAG Policy

    SAG Support & Ride Completion Policy

    To help ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for all participants, SAG (Support and Gear) support will officially conclude at 3pm. Riders are strongly encouraged to maintain a pace that allows them to complete their route by that time.

    Please note:

    • SAG vehicles, rest stops, route support, and course monitoring may begin closing after 3pm.

    • Riders remaining on the course after 3pm may be asked to shorten their route or arrange personal transportation if support is no longer available.

    • This policy helps protect volunteers, staff, and participants while ensuring all event operations can safely conclude on schedule.

    We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and encourage riders to start early, pace themselves appropriately, and enjoy the ride safely.

    Additional Information

    All rest stops, course marshals, and SAG operations will close according to the official event timeline. These policies are in place to support rider safety, traffic management, volunteer operations, and weather-related considerations.

    Participants are strongly encouraged to ride within their ability level and prepare accordingly for distance, pace, and weather conditions.
