The City of Lovejoy would like to invite you to the Lovejoy 5K Walk/Run hosted by Councilwoman Rosannette Kirby. The event will be taking place on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. The City of Lovejoy has a strong focus for education and bridging the gap between the community and government. We're excited to have everyone join us in helping raise funds for Lovejoy High School.

The Lovejoy 5K Walk/Run is a great way to bring everyone together in a positive and active way. We encourage all friends, families, residents, and guest to come together for this amazing experience.

This event starts promptly at 8:00 AM. All participants should arrive no later than 7:15am, allowing participants time to check-in. Late attendees will not be able to participate due to the use of a rolling road closures. Since 2017, Coach K & Lightweight Fitness gym has been building real momentum in Clayton County through fitness training, free weekly run club, free bootcamps across the county, and community outreached Teacher Tone Up in local schools. We believe fitness should be accessible, visible, and part of the culture.

The Clayco ’Til I Die 5K WALK/RUN is an extension of that mission.

This race is about pride in where we’re from and bringing awareness to the health benefits of physical activity and mental wellness right here in Clayton County.

We will start outside Tara Stadium with a race finish inside the stadium on the track with music, crowd energy, and a full vendor village celebration.

This is more than a race. This is Southside pride in motion.

J.A.M. (Jude Academy Memorial) is an annual event to celebrate the legacy of Jude Rockwell Marler. All proceeds go to India to help educate school children. Hosted by Chand Foundation Race Location: 810 New Morn Dr., Hampton, GA 30228 Race time starts at 9:00AM, registration opens at 8:00AM

Jude Rockwell Marler died due to complications during birth on April 28, 2012. He was almost 10 pounds of the most beautiful boy we ever saw…we had been calling him “our buddy” ever since we found out that he was a boy. And that day was the worst day of our lives. He left two stunned parents (Rachel almost died as well and spent many months recovering physically), a big sister who was 12 at the time, grandparents waiting to dote on him, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who were hoping to celebrate. Instead we left the hospital empty handed. Put the car seat away in a closet. And wondered “WHY”. No parent should have to bury their child. But we did. So we had to deal with that. We spent many months in counseling and fully working through the grief process (which never ends) but coming from a faith-filled background, we had to look for a greater purpose…how can we make anything good at all come from our pain?

Through a series of connections, conversations, and the passage of time, we have found a way to use our tragedy to perpetuate the legacy of our son via the Jude Rockwell Academy, located near our family in Lucknow, India. At this school, children from nearby villages are able to receive an education that they otherwise would not have without us. Without Jude. Without you.

We will always have pain and a hole in our hearts but we are glad to be able to extend Jude’s influence through the Jude Rockwell Academy. Jude’s story will continue…

Zack & Rachel Marler

Join us for the sixth annual Miles for Midwest 5K Run benefitting Midwest Food Bank Georgia Division!! The 5K course will begin at the Midwest Food Bank Facility in Peachtree City, Georgia and take you on a scenic run along the cart paths. Race registration is $40 from January 1–March 31, 2026, and will be $45 from April 1–May 8, 2026. ($5 discount will be taken off of registrations for those who are under 18 at checkout). In-person registration available the morning of the run at $50 for adults and $45 for children under 18. Registration table opens at 7:00 AM on the day of the run. This family-friendly run begins at 8 AM. Take your time and tour our facility to learn how you can be involved at Midwest Food Bank to serve our local community.

Remember that all proceeds from the race go directly toward our mission to alleviate hunger and malnutrition. Every $1.00 donated allows us to share $30.00 worth of food with our local community!

*No strollers, wheelchairs, bikes, or dogs will be allowed on the run due to liability issues.
