Kick Off Your 2026 East‑Side St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Belleville with the Lucky Leprechaun 5K!

Start your St. Patrick’s Day festivities early by joining us for the Lucky Leprechaun 5K in beautiful Belleville! The run begins and ends at Union United Methodist Church, taking participants on a fun, scenic route through the streets of Belleville. After finishing, runners are encouraged to head over to the parade route to celebrate with family and friends before continuing the fun at the St. Patrick’s Day Block Party!

Registration Information

5K Run

$30 – Advanced registration

$35 – Day‑of registration

Includes an active-blend T‑shirt featuring a brand‑new design

T‑shirts guaranteed for participants registered by February 23

Registrations received after February 23 are not guaranteed a shirt; extra shirts will be available on a first‑come, first‑served basis

Kids’ 50‑Yard Rainbow Dash – $10

Perfect for children 12 and under who aren’t quite ready for the full 5K. Every child who participates will receive a medal!

Race Day Schedule

5K Start Time: 9:00 AM (sharp!)

Kids’ Rainbow Dash: Approximately 10:00 AM, immediately following the completion of the 5K

Location: Belleville Main Street

Start/Finish Line: Union United Methodist Church, 721 East Main Street. Limited parking is available at the church

The event will only be cancelled in the case of severe weather, such as thunderstorms.

Registration is non‑refundable.

    Registration is open for our 2026 Joshua's Great Things 5K and Fun Run!

    We are again offering two options this year - an In-Person race on Saturday, July 18th in Shiloh, IL and the Virtual Option for those who are out-of-town or unable to join us on the morning of the race.

    The race options include:

    • 5K Run/Walk - Participants in our 5K will receive a t-shirt and post-race snacks - Race will begin at 7:30 am

    • 1/2 Mile Fun Run for children 12 & under - Participants in our Fun Run will receive a t-shirt, post-race snacks, and a finisher medal - Race will begin at approximately 8:30 am.

    • Virtual Run/Walk - Participants will receive a t-shirt in the mail prior to race day if registration times are met - Race any time on July 18th

    Family Pricing available for the 5K and Fun Run participants - look for Multi-Person Pricing on registration page.

    For the Virtual Race - Register by July 6th to make sure we get your shirt and packet to you before Race Weekend!

    In Person Packet/Shirt Pick Up will be on Friday, July 17th from 2:00 - 5:00 pm and Saturday, July 18th from 6:00 - 7:00 am at Toolen's Running Start Store in Shiloh, IL. You can also choose to have your packet mailed to you when you complete your registration.

    Get ready to make history with us on Saturday, September 26, 2026, as we commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Belleville Main Street Marathon and our Half Marathon being designated as the Road Runners Club of America Illinois State Championship Event!!! This year promises to be our biggest and most exciting event yet, and we want you there to help celebrate as you experience the excitement of running America's longest Main Street in the historic town of Belleville, IL, in the heart of America and just a short drive from downtown St. Louis, MO! Our anniversary celebration will feature fabulous swag, including the first 900 registrants will receive a pair of goodr sunglasses as part of their registration!!! And we encourage you to rise to the challenge of 26 (point 2) miles on the 26th, in '26 to receive even more swag!!! As you make your way down Main Street on race day, you will be greeted by enthusiastic volunteers on every corner, providing incredible support and cheers with the charm

    of a Midwest town. Both the full and half marathon courses are ideal for runners of all experience levels and include Main Street and other city roads. The full marathon is a USTAF-certified Boston Marathon qualifier that also includes about 10 miles on a paved trail. In addition to bonus anniversary swag, registrants will receive a soon-to-be your favorite everything T-shirt and finisher's medal. Post-race celebrations include Belleville's Bennie's Pizza Pub pizza, a special beer brewed just for you by Belleville's Shoehorn Brewing (for those ages 21 and older), and a DJ for a festive atmosphere. The Belleville Main Street Marathon and Half Marathon is a non-profit event, with proceeds reinvested back into our community (community food pantry, Belleville Parks and Recreation Department, and a college scholarship fund for Belleville high school students), with $20,000 being donated from 2025 race proceeds. We are a grass-roots event organized by dedicated volunteers from the Belleville

    Running Club and Toolen's Running Start.
