  DOUBLE DOWN DH

  You asked, and we listened. We’re throwing our hat in the ring and kicking off a downhill race built for the biggest and the best.

  Drop in for the Double Down Downhill at Bolton Valley, a full weekend of lift-served racing designed for riders who want to go fast, push limits, and send it.

  Taking place August 15–16, 2026, this event is all about dialing your line and committing when it counts. Day one is qualifiers, where riders will lay down their fastest runs to earn a spot in finals. Day two is finals, same course, higher stakes, and one more shot to put it all together.

  Registration starts at $90 through 5/13 and includes entry to the race plus lift access for both days, regardless of whether you qualify for finals. That means more laps, more time to fine-tune your approach, and a full weekend of riding no matter what. Professional timing will be provided by Eleven11 Timing to keep things tight and competitive.

  Categories include Pro Men, Amateur Men, Pro Women, Amateur Women, Grom Boys, and Grom Girls.

  Free camping will be available in the lower lots all weekend, making it easy to settle in and stay close to the action. If you’re looking for a little more comfort, on-site lodging is available just steps from the lifts and can be booked in advance. Off the bike, expect a mix of high-energy racing and laid-back bike park vibes, with music, food, and plenty of time to hang in the village after a full day of riding.

  Bring your bike, your gear, and everything you need to ride hard for two days. Full face helmets and protective gear are mandatory. Start thinking about your line, because when it’s time to drop in, there’s only one move left to make. Double Down.

  Fast, technical and just plain fun! Come out and explore what Bolton Valley Resort has to offer. We will be running Qualifying on saturday and then the big show down on Sunday.

  Grab a team of 4 or more.. and on Sunday we will also be doing team times! Adding all members times together for the final results!

  Thank you for your interest in the Green Mountain Stage Race. In 2023 the GMSR was the largest stage race in North America! Velo has selected the GMSR as one of the top ten stage races in the US two years in a row! Come experience what it is like to be treated like a Pro regardless of your catagory. This will be the twenty-fifth edition of the GMSR! We hope you can join us.

  For 2026 the GMSR has been selected to be the final event in the USAC Juniors Cup! GMSR race results will help identify American juniors for USA Cycling team camps. While the GMSR always attracts a world class junior field we expect an even stronger turnout for this year's race. Junior men will have a standalone event. Junior women will be competing in either the open women's field or the 3/4/Novice field based on age and results will be broken out and reported to USAC.

  Racers must be a Cat. 4 or higher to enter all stage race events except the Women's 3/4/Novice, Men's 4/Novice and Mad River Open Road Race.

  The Event Flyer is posted for your review. If you would like to see how the race will operate you can review the 2025 Tech Guide. The 2026 Tech Guide is in the process of being updated but the 2025 Tech Guide will give you good insight into the event except for Stage 4 where we plan to return to our much loved and thrilling downtown Burlington criterium. One of the few remaining downtown crits.

  Please note: refunds will NOT be issued if you cannot attend the race. The only exception to this is for racers who sign-up prior to June 1. Those racers will be eligible for a no questions asked 80% refund but they must notify us by August 17th that they are withdrawing from the race so that we can try to fill their spot.

  We strongly advise you to purchase the registration insurance offered through Bikereg at the time you register. Please read what is covered by the insurance to be sure it will work for you. The GMSR does not benfit in anyway from the purcahse of this thrid party insurance.

  A 1,600-vertical-foot time trial up the east side of Appalachian Gap in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains and at the height of the changing colors of fall. All proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, one of the most highly regarded adaptive-sports programs in the country, in cooperation with the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce.

  Dirt for Dinner is a fall community mountain bike ride and fundraiser bringing people together around bikes and food justice in Vermont!

  This is a non-competitive event open to mountain bikers of all abilities. Riders will have the option of a chill led ride or aggressive led ride.

  During registration, participants will choose one of three Vermont-based nonprofit organizations to donate to as their entrance fee:

  Salvation Farms:

  Salvation Farms’ mission is to create a future where all are fed and farms are thriving. Through partnerships, effective use of available resources, and skill-building, we work to fully integrate surplus food from local farms into a resilient and sustainable food system.

  Intervale Center:

  Intervale Center’s mission is to strengthen community food systems that sustain farms, land, and people.

  Hunger Free Vermont:

  Hunger Free Vermont’s mission is to end the injustice of hunger and malnutrition for all Vermonters.
