11 Weeks of Hippie Chick Training! Join us for this 11 week program leading up to the Hippie Chick Half or Quarter Marathon. The program runs 2/21-5/2/2026. Hippie Chick Race Registration is not included. Please register for the race separately.

Event details and schedule

First Training Saturday 2/21/2026, 8:30 am, PRC Beaverton. Come ready to run or walk 2.0 miles or 3.0 miles (time trial) and organize into groups based on pace! Arrive 15 min early.

Whether your goal is to get fit, stay fit, get faster, get stronger, cross the finish line, make new friends or just learn a few new things, you have started your journey! Joining a group helps with accountability and accountability is what gets you to the finish line. It takes courage to join a group and start something new so congratulations on being courageous enough to click this link and get started. We are excited to meet you and help you succeed. We are a positive, encouraging, and supportive group, so get ready to meet some amazing new friends!

This group is for all abilities and everyone is welcome! Together we will train (mostly) at Portland Running Company in Beaverton but we will have other options and adventures along the way. This program will offer coaching, store discounts, seminars, and a training program that leads you to the Hippie Chick Half/Quarter Marathon on May 9, 2026.

This program does not include registration into the Hippie Chick Half Marathon please register separately for the Hippie Chick Half/Quarter Marathon.

    United PDX Soccer Club, one of Oregon's largest youth soccer organizations, is excited to host its Third Annual 5K Run/Walk! By participating, you’ll help support nearly 3,000 youth soccer players, ages 4 to 19, as they pursue their passion for the game. This event promises a fun and active way to engage with your community while contributing to a great cause.

    The Course:

    Run or walk through Tigard’s scenic Cook Park, cross the beautiful Tualatin River, and enjoy the peaceful routes into Durham and Tualatin. The course is one flat, shaded 5K loop, making it perfect for participants of all ages and abilities.

    Timing:

    The race will be professionally timed by Eclectic Edge Racing.

    Post-Race Activities:

    After crossing the finish line, stick around for some post-race fun!

    Support Youth Soccer:

    All proceeds from this event go toward supporting the United PDX Soccer Club’s programs, helping kids in our community stay active and connected through soccer.

    Join us for the 15th annual running of this unique and popular 5K/10K race on July 11, 2026! This stroller-friendly event takes runners on a scenic course through the open green spaces and forested paths along the Tualatin River in Tigard's Cook Park and neighboring areas, offering a fun and memorable experience for all participants.

    Perks for Participants:

    All 5K and 10K finishers will receive a shirt, medal and a race packet filled with goodies to celebrate their accomplishment.

    Can’t join us in person?

    No problem! Sign up for the virtual race and run your own 5K or 10K course—anywhere, anytime. As a virtual participant, you’ll receive a race bib, a shirt, and a medal to commemorate your achievement. Want to run with friends? Organize a group virtual run, and we’ll promote it on our website so others can join you!

    Race Day Details:

    To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, the start line will remain open for 15 minutes, allowing for a staggered start and plenty of space.

    The best part? Proceeds from this event benefit the Ladybug CDH Foundation, whose mission is to: Raise public awareness about Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), a potentially life-threatening birth defect affecting 1 in 2,500 children annually.

    Fund critical medical research.

    Provide direct support to families in the Pacific Northwest facing the challenges of CDH.

    Survivor/Angel Signs:

    We line the sidewalks at Cook Family Park with signs remembering and honoring Angels and Survivors. We'd love to be able to honor your CDH warrior.

    This year’s event will be held on Saturday, July 25th, at Nike WHQ. In addition to the main event, we are bringing back the free elementary school 1km race before the running of our annual 5k.

    SCHEDULE

    9:30am Kids 1k Race (FREE!)

    10:05am Bowerman 5k

    LOCATION/COURSE:

    Held at the Nike World Headquarters, participants will run a closed-off interior road within the campus. The smooth tarmac loops around the beautiful Nike WHQ campus, starting and finishing at the Lebron James Courtyard. Race-bib pickup, vendors, and giveaways will take place in the Mia Hamm Courtyard close to the start line.

    TEAMS:

    Calling all Clubs, Corporate teams, and Social Groups!

    Whether you're part of a run club, a corporate team, or a social group of friends and family, we encourage you to register as a team! You must have 5 runners to complete a team. The largest team will earn free entries to the 2027 Bowerman 5k!

    ABOUT

    Started in 2010, the Bowerman 5k is an annual road race held in the month of July at the Nike Campus in Beaverton, Oregon. The 5k is a great opportunity to get the whole family involved in a fun and active event. Our competitors include young kids, stroller walkers, competitive masters and elite runners, and we encourage all ages and abilities to come and join the fun. If you’re looking for a 5k personal best, the course is a fast one! Over the years, the race’s popularity has grown and in 2015 it was rated as one of the 7 Must-Do 5k Races in the United States by Competitor Magazine.
