  Our Mission is to continue to be the best running camp in the nation by helping all runners have a fun and healthy experience with the sport of running! We strive to teach all aspects of running, leadership, team building, positive mental, emotional, and physical skills! We are passionate about education and developing people with World Class Instruction!

  Performance

  We develop athletes to be the best version of themselves through performance and life leadership! We offer a huge variety of fun activities and educational options! We will have professional coaches, athletes, NCAA coaches/athletes, and excellent guest speakers from across the country/world.

  Tradition

  Founded with John Osler in 1969, and continued with Kermit Ambrose in the 1970s-1990's, both Stu ('71) and Dr. Drew ('89), began as campers, then counselors, co-directors and directors. Many of our staff have been with us since the mid 1990's. We have both evolved with current science and remained stead-fast in the hard work traditions of Kermit. We still eliminate electronics and cell phones and focus on running, education, and relationships.

  Leadership

  We have an excellent staff who teach leadership skills in the dorms, in running and in our educational programs. We teach communication, teamwork and educational components. We teach many lifestyle choices to help athletes return to their teams as a better teammate and person. Our programming is designed to enhance all coaching philosophies. We teach mechanics, nutrition, sports psychology, goal setting, attitude, teamwork and other ideas that enhance all programs.

  Outstanding Camp Activities: Outdoor Pool, Slip-n-slide, High Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Game Room, 9-Square-In-The-Air, Disc Golf, Sand Volleyball, Basketball, GaGa Ball, Hiking Trails.

  The Lumberjack 5K will start with registration at the pavilion at Village Park on Superior St, Farwell, MI 48622 at 7:30am. Race time starts at 8:00 am at Superior St on the Rail Trail and will head down just past Beaver Rd, where the turn around will be and head back to Superior St for the finish.

  Signup is from March 1 - July 16 at $25. Registration on day of race is $30.

  Awards: All participants will receive a medal; raffle drawing for prizes from various businesses within the community. Pancake breakfast is available to all participants. Raffle drawing will begin at 9:15am (MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN).

  T-shirts are only while supplies last, so sign up now.

  Registration will start at 7:30am.

  Race starts at 8:00am.

  Pancake breakfast from 9:00am – 10:00am.

  Raffle starts at 9:15am (MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN).

  Proceeds will benefit the City of Farwell. The Village of Farwell support many aspects of the community and your participation will help the continue their dedication to the city.   Join the Central Michigan District Health Department at the 17th Annual HIV/AIDS 5k Run/Walk through Island Park in Mt. Pleasant Michigan! 100% of the proceeds from the event will help those living with HIV/AIDS within the Central Michigan community and support programs that provide solutions for stopping the spread of the virus. The HIV/AIDS Walk is a time for awareness and remembrance. There is no cure for HIV/AIDS and the crisis is not over. This is an excellent opportunity for our community to come together as a whole and join the fight against this disease!

  ****For Virtual Runners, swag bag and t shirt pick up can be done September 14th-18th 8:00am-4:30pm at the Health Department Location.
