Join us on Friday June 12th through Sunday 14th for an Endless Adventure.

The Eagles Mere Grand Cru Gravel event is a non-competitive gravel weekend all about community growth. Starting Friday, we will have beautiful gravel courses starting and ending in Eagles Mere, a picturesque town in the Endless Mountain region of Pennsylvania.. Ride as many or as few of the looping courses as you like. All of the loops will all be well-marked and supported taking you through covered bridges, scenic vistas and forgotten roads. We’ll have food, fun and music in Eagles Mere Village and you’ll have time to visit the shops and museums in town.

All are welcome!

All abilities and experience levels are invited. Our Grand Cru Crew can recommend routes for any adventure. Maps and GPS routes will be provided. Courses will be marked as well as aid stations and rovers will be out.

This event is produced by Eagle's Mere Village and the Lycoming County Composite high school mountain bike team. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Sullivan County community and the Lycoming County Composite mountain bike team.

We are a Bucks for Bikes event, so part of your entry will go to support the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League.

The Course

Our goal is to have a 90% gravel to pavement ratio. Loops are a work in progress. While the names and details may change, the general theme will stay the same. We will have loops for all ages and skills.

UPDATE: Day of registration option. We have decided to offer day of registration on Sunday June 14th from 730-830 AM onsite. You will pay $10 more if you opt to register day of. CASH ONLY. Your best

    option is to pre-register.

The Pig Iron Enduro is a fundraiser for the Danville Hammers Mtn Bike Teams. We are the current PA State Champs in PICL, the Pennsylvania NICA league. The Enduro is held in one of the several trail systems we ride and train on, so we’re super stoked to share these trails with you. When you race, we win!

CHOOSE YOUR RACE - There are lots of ways to come out and play! Below is what you can expect at this year's race:

    • 5 downhill stages all located on Geisinger Trails property, featuring flowy technical elements.

    • There will be 2 Aid Stations at the top of the trail system if neutral support or anything is needed.

    • We are implementing a 4-hour time cut for this year's event. The race start time is 9:00 AM for all riders. Riders must return their timing chips before 1:00 PM in order to be scored for all sections.

    • The standard timing system used by MASS events. Riders will tag in and tag out with their wrist band chips.

WHAT IS THE Enduro Lite CATEGORY?

We’re glad you asked! Something so easy and fun to do shouldn’t be so hard to explain.

    • This a 3-stage category (meaning you are not racing on all 5 segments).

    • Since this is a 3-stage category, we recommend it for First Timers.

    • We will designate which 3 stages this category races.

    Refund, Deferral and Transfer Policy

    • WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO PURCHASE THE INSURANCE THAT IS OFFERED BY THE REGISTRATION SITE. This should cover about 95% of the emails we get before the race asking for a refund (I.E. injuries, medical issue, etc. Make sure to read through their information on what is covered under this insurance opportunity. Pig Iron Enduro has no control over insurance claims or refunds.)

Much more information is available on our website. Contact us at any time to help answer questions that might come up.

Looking forward to seeing you at the 2026 Pig Iron

Q: Is there a cutoff time for the half?

A: Yes! Due to the heat, we ask runners to finish in 3:00. There is a hard cutoff of 3:15. Those who may run longer than 3:00 are encouraged to run the quarter marathon.

Q: What is the course surface like?

A: The out-and-back course on The Susquehanna Warrior Trail is flat hard-packed dirt and gravel. 90% is shaded.

Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?

A: Yes, dogs are allowed on the course. However, due to safety and insurance reasons, we discourage participants from running with their dogs. The race is on a public trail that allows dogs, so we do not ban dogs from the race. We ask that if you choose to run with your dog, you only do so if your dog has extensive experience running in groups and with strangers. According to PA state law, all dogs, whether running or spectating or just meandering through on a Saturday walk, MUST be leashed while on public property.

Q: Are strollers allowed on the course?

A: No. The trail is not well-suited for strollers.

Q: Can I see a map of the half course?

A: Yes! (And the quarter marathon is the first half the half). FOLLOW THIS LINK HERE.
