Catch deer flies with a Tred- Not Deerfly Patch (on your hat...BRING A HAT!!!) & raise $$$ to help fight Alzheimer's disease. Although we hope your time flies with us (see what I did there?), this is not a timed event.

The winner is the STOMPER who catches the most number of deer flies. Yes, we will actually count the deer flies. Rules? There's not a lot of rules...the "Dee Berry" rule (you can't steal somebody else's patch) is the only real rule. Prizes to top 3 STOMPERS!

FYI This is year 17 of the Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp!!! (Plus a few years of informal stomping...) Over the past 16 years we have caught approximately 3500 deerflies (plus at least 1 horsefly...grrrr) AND donated over $14,000 to the Alzheimer's Association!

Join us on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 9:00am for an exciting new event that features the award winning locally produced wines and epic landscape of 12 Corners Vineyards! They have a 115-acre estate planted with both vinifera and hybrid grapes. Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Traminette are but a sampling of the varieties they offer as wines for your palate's pleasure. So, whether you are looking to run, walk or just enjoy the wine this race is a sure thing for a great time and an incredible experience! This race is timed and scored by J3 Timing. Run and Creep 5k Run/Walk

On behalf of Renaissance Athletic Club, I would like to thank you for considering your support of our 3rd Annual Run and Creep 5K Run/Walk. All funds raised from registration fees and sponsorships will cover all race expenses and any funds left will be donated to Berrien County Cancer Services in St. Joseph. RAC has been a proud supporter of this organization for many years.

About The Organization:

The Berrien County Cancer Service (BCCS) has had the honor of caring for Southwest Michigan's cancer patients since 1948. We are a unique, skilled oncology nursing service that provides compassionate care for cancer patients and those with related illnesses in the comfort of their own homes. We are able to do this at no cost because of the generosity of our community; we are "neighbors helping neighbors" in a time when local cancer patients need our special care.

In addition to our nursing care services, we have an extensive loan closet of medical equipment and supplies that we offer at no cost, including nutritional supplements, wound management supplies, and incontinence products. We also have wigs, turbans, and caps and can provide breast cancer patients with special products. We also host an art program for children and families impacted by cancer.

Our services are available to all residents of Berrien County who have been diagnosed with cancer or a related illness by a licensed physician at any facility.

The run/walk starts at 8:00 am.

Race Shirts:

Register by October 4th at midnight to guarantee your race shirt. Participants that register on or after October 8, 2026 are not guaranteed a shirt, available while supplies last. Shirts are not guaranteed for racers that are not present for the event.

Packet Pick-up:

October 17th 6:00am-8:00am. At the Renaissance Athletic Club 501 Graham Ave, Benton Harbor MI, 49022

Please Note

• Walking the course is welcomed, but participants must complete the route within 90 minutes.

• Weather conditions vary from year to year, so dress appropriately.

• In case of severe weather, event directors reserve the right to cancel without refund.

The THIRD ANNUAL St. Joseph 5k “Turkey Trot” Run/Walk will be held on November 26, 2026! Starting and finishing at the Margaret B. Upton Arboretum, this will be a wonderful way for families to gather, friends to reunite, and the community to strengthen – not to mention a guilt-free way to begin a day famous for indulging! Participants will run or walk past Silver Beach Pizza, Shadowland, the Carousel, and our Iconic beaches on the way to an energetic finish with music, refreshments, and awards. Our goal is simply to create an event that will become a tradition as so many other Thanksgiving Day races have become throughout Michigan.
