Since "THAT NIGHT" so much has been done through the Aden Perry Good Samaritan and Scholarship Fund:

• Aden was awarded the Carnegie Hero Award for his selfless heroic act

• Aden received 2 medals of Valor

• We received 2 proclamations for Aden Perry Day in Broward County AND Aden's home town

• We have received multiple awards for the works being done in Aden's name through the Aden Perry Good Samaritan And Scholarship Fund

• Aden had a street named after him in his hometown of Sunrise Florida at the location of the lake where the accident took place. The street is Aden Perry Way just off of Flamingo Road in Sunrise Florida

• We are now an official 501C3

• We have given hundreds of SAT Prep, book and paid testing fees Scholarships

• Awarded over 60 monetary scholarships to graduating seniors

• AWARDED ANOTHER HERO A FULL SCHOLARSHIP TO FF/ EMT SCHOOL

• Honor students for being a Good Samaritan every year on Aden Perry Day

• Donated school supplies to over 2000 students in need

• Supplies School Uniforms and other School Clothes to students in need

Whether you are looking to push your limits or enjoy a leisurely pace with friends, the sunset backdrop provides an unparalleled atmosphere for a community fitness celebration.

​Participants have the exciting opportunity to choose between two main events: the Duathlon and the 5K Run/Walk. For those who want the ultimate test of endurance, the challenge even offers the flexibility to participate in both events. Every registrant is treated like a pro, receiving a personalized race bib equipped with an RFID timing chip for precise results, a commemorative event shirt, and a beautiful finisher medal to celebrate their achievement at the finish line.

​The South Florida Sunset Challenge is designed to be a true family affair, where all ages are welcome and encouraged to join the fun. From competitive runners chasing a personal best to families enjoying a twilight stroll, the event fosters an inclusive environment of health and wellness. For the little Taco Trotters we will have finisher medals for them.

RULES

5K:

Anyone may participate in the 5K run, however you must be 21 & over to enjoy a beer after the run. We will be checking ID's and will strictly enforce this policy.

Margarita Mile:

YOU MUST BE 21 & OVER TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT. Participants will be given a margarita prior to the start of the race. You will be required to drink the entire margarita prior to starting the run. The Margarita will be in can form and will be distributed to you prior to the start. If you register for this category and are NOT 21 and over, you will not be refunded and you will be disqualified. Even though we will check ID's at bib distribution, we also reserve the right to check ID's at Margarita distribution. Make sure you are carrying your ID with you at all times.

Taco Trot:

This event is a 400 Meter kids dash, that will be restricted to kids 10 & under. Parents, we encourage you to dress your trotters in your favorite Taco costume or Cinco De Mayo festive gear!

This is a celebration of all things Motherly! Yes, that means to celebrate your mother!

This isn't just a race; it’s a full-scale celebration where families can bond while enjoying the fresh morning air and the park's scenic views. To ensure every participant feels like a VIP, the event features an incredible race package including a personalized race bib, a high-quality event shirt, and a custom finisher medal to commemorate the achievement.

​The excitement continues well after the finish line with activities tailored for all ages. Children can dive into a world of fun at the Kids Zone, featuring creative arts and crafts—like making a custom "designer tie" for Dad—and a variety of carnival games with exciting prizes to be won.
