    Why We Run & Walk

This isn't just a 5k; it's a chance to move together for something bigger than us. Every stride, every mile, every smile helps supports organizations like Ekal Vidyalaya, Adopt A Class and IACC that are making a difference in our communities.

    Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation

Ekal Vidyalaya works to bring education to children in rural and tribal areas of India through a unique one-teacher school model. These schools provide basic education, digital literacy, and life skills to children in remote villages where access to education is limited. By supporting Ekal, we help empower communities through education and opportunity.

    Adopt A Class Foundation

Adopt A Class parters with local schools to support teachers and students by providing funding for classroom resources, educational programs, mentorship opportunities. Their work helps strengthen local classrooms and ensures students have the tools they need to succeed.

Every registration and donation helps support these important initiatives and creates lasting impact both locally and globally.

Whether you're running for a personal best or walking to enjoy the day, your steps make an impact.

The event is open to men, women, and children of all ages, and of all experience levels. Some participants run or walk in honor or memory of someone, some are survivors, and some just enjoy getting out and supporting an awesome cause!

COURSE: Our event is at Summit Park, Blue Ash, OH. GPS coordinates: 39.250255, -84.386898 . Courses Start and Finish near the main stage and wind through Summit Park. See the course maps under the RACE INFO menu. Most of the course is paved, but there is one section that is a dirt trail.

HONOR SIGNS: Honor a loved one that has battled or is currently battling Ovarian Cancer. For a $35.00 donation we will place a sign recognizing the recipient along the course to encourage all the walkers and runners as we fight this disease together. Honor signs can be added to individual registrations or purchased through the STORE.

ACTIVITIES: Booths will open from 8:30am – 10:00am. We will have booths with ovarian cancer support information and vendors. There will also be raffles, an appearance by Rosie Red, music by Seton High School Vocal Ensemble, a Power Pets booth and other activities. Cash and credit card are accepted where needed.

RESERVE A VENDOR BOOTH: Share your information or products with our participants by having a booth at the event. In 2024, we had approximately 1,500 people at the park during our event. Vendors will have a festival type booth with boards on 3 sides, canopy roof, one table, and chairs. Reserve your booth at the RESERVE A VENDOR BOOTH Menu Tab.

POWER PARTNERS: The Teal Power Race and Walk recognizes and rewards participants who reach special fundraising milestones. These individuals are leading the way in the fight against ovarian cancer – and you can too!

    Parkinson’s Steady Strides 5K

Dedicated to the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of those living with Parkinson’s disease in the Greater Dayton/Cincinnati metroplex, Parkinson Support & Wellness exists to help those with PD learn about the disease, which empowers individuals to take control and make connections with local resources like support and exercise groups.

Steady Strides, a timed 5K race and walk brings people together to raise funds for our mission to serve the local Parkinson community. These funds go directly toward financial grants made to local exercise and therapy organizations and to essential educational programs like PD-EDU.

Our big day isn't just a 5k; it's a joyful gathering of our community and a demonstration of the impact we can make when we work together. Free food from some of our area’s iconic brands, musical entertainment and a Basket Raffle extravaganza will be found in the Wetterer’s Way concourse adjacent to the Start/Finish line.

    Fundraising Teams

Friends and family teams are the core that makes Steady Strides a financial success and a truly communal gathering. Joined by a common connection to Parkinson Disease, these groups come together to assure that the support services so vital to a full and active life are available to their loved ones. Teams take on their own personalities and make sure to include fun as a focus of the day. And they can get pretty competitive when it comes to number of participants and funds raised.

Support for the teams frequently ranges beyond immediate, even extended, families and circle of friends. Teams solicit sponsors from their communities and across their social media groups as well. This raises awareness and grows financial contributions.

Team captains are supported by the Steady Strides Race Committee and will be contacted by the committee to assist in recruiting.

    Packet Pick-Up

Registration will be available at packet pickup and also on race day.
