    This is registration for the New England Randonneurs 600k Brevet or 2x200k Brevet to be held on July 11 to 12, 2026.

    A current year RUSA Membership is REQUIRED to ride this event. Memberships will not be available for purchase at the start and non-members will be unable to start. Please verify and purchase/renew your RUSA membership prior to registering for this event. Riders will not be allowed to start until they are full RUSA members with a permanent RUSA number.

    Note: When first becoming a RUSA member, riders will be assigned a temporary number (starting with a T) but this can not be used for registration. It generally takes 2-3 days to receive a permanent RUSA number. (Longer if paying by check and not PayPal.) We are unable to make exceptions to this policy and riders who are not full RUSA members before the event will not be allowed to start.

    New England Randonneurs (NER) Membership is separate from RUSA membership. RUSA Membership is required for this and all events. NER Membership is appreciated but optional.

    Lodging: We are going to use the Westbrook Community Center for the overnight control and ride organizer will transport rider's sleeping bag and drop bag between the start and the overnight control for both rides.

    The New England Randonneurs, Inc website has complete and official details regarding this event including start location, start time, lighting requirements, etc. Please visit the NER site before registering and again shortly before the event to ensure you are informed about any last-minute changes.

    Please be aware of the following before registering and starting:

    • NER Events are challenging, endurance cycling events for experienced cyclists.

    • No on-route support is provided. Please have an alternative way home if you can not continue.

    • The route used is on public roads open to all traffic. Motorists will not be informed of the event.

    • Cycling involves risk. Participants are solely responsible for their own safety.

    NER Season Pass holders can ride this event with $50 discount. Purchase a NER season pass now to save. If your name is not listed as being registered for the NER season pass, you do not have a season pass!

    Welcome to the 22nd Annual Appleman Triathlon

    The beach front transition area, challenging and scenic race course, crowds of spectators and maple syrup prizes have made this race a New England favorite for many years. All racers receive a high performance athlete t-shirt as well as a memorable dated finisher's medal.

    The Appleman Triathlon is now managed and timed by the top-notch team at New England Timing.

    All race options sells out quickly, so register early if you want to call yourself an Appleman this year.

    NOTE TO RELAY TEAMS: ONLY ONE TEAM MEMBER NEEDS TO REGISTER, PAY, AND CREATE A TEAM FOR THE RELAY.

    OTHER RELAY TEAM MEMBERS WILL THEN NEED TO ADD THEMSELVES TO THE TEAM BY SELECTING THE RELAY SIGN UP OPTION, BUT THEN CHOOSE "JOIN AN EXISTING RELAY TEAM" AND COMPLETE THEIR REGISTRATION! ADDITIONAL RELAY TEAM MEMBERS WILL ONLY PAY FOR A USAT LICENSE.

    PLEASE NOTE: ALL RELAY TEAM MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT AND ARE WELCOME TO RUN THROUGH THE FINISH ARCH AS A TEAM AND COLLECT MEDALS. MAPLE SYRUP PRIZES ARE AWARDED TO ALL MEMBERS OF WINNING RELAY TEAMS.

    Saturday, July 18th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Littleton Town Beach.

    Sunday, July 19th from 6:15 AM to 7:45 AM at the race venue, Littleton Town Beach

    Athlete parking will be at the Shaker Lane Elementary School, 35 Shaker Lane, Littleton, MA.

    Please do not try to park on any of the side streets near the beach.

    INCLEMENT WEATHER

    Please note the race will be held rain or shine, but if the weather or other unforeseen circumstances threaten the safety of athletes, race management reserves the right to cancel the event or alter portions of the swim, bike, and/or run courses.

    Please understand that in the unlikely case that we did have to cancel the event, no refunds would be issued, however, a partial credit would be offered to next year’s race; further details will be communicated post-race.

    SCHEDULE OF RACE DAY

    • Transition zone will open at 6:15 AM and close at 7:45 AM

    • Race day registration from 6:15 AM to 7:45 AM

    • Transition zone will be re-opened around 9:30 AM

    • Awards presentation will begin at approximately 10 AM. Please be present for your award or have someone pick it up for you as we

    cannot mail out.

    • Pre-Race Meeting is at 7:45 AM at the swim start on the beach

    THE RACE COURSE

    Swim

    The GPS measured swim takes place in placid Long Pond and is a .50 mile triangular course. There will be a time trial start. Swim angels are available for athletes who would like an experienced swimmer to accompany them on the swim. First come, first serve basis.

    Bike

    The 10 mile bike course is a single loop through Littleton with some hills in the park area that are sure to raise your heart rate a beat or two.

    Run

    The on and off-road run course is well-marked and marshaled and one of the most interesting run routes of any sprint triathlon with an off-road section that keeps you focused and gives you great material for your post-race stories. The run finishes along the beach with cheering spectators fueling the athletes along the final stretch. Then it’s under the giant New England Timing finish arch and on to the post-race festivities.

    Triathlon

    The triathlon will have a time trial swim start.. Your race time will start when you cross over the Swim Start mats on the beach.

    Duathlon

    The duathlon will start approximately at the same time as the first swimmers enter the water. The start will be at the Run-Out portion of transition with your race time starting when you cross over the Run-Out timing mat.

    Aqua-Bike

    The swim will be part of the regular swim and they will not have a special start. Your race will finish when you cross the BIKE-IN mats. If you wish, Aqua-bikers are welcome to cross the finish and receive your medal. Please return your timing chip to one of the volunteers in the transition area.

    RACE VENUE ACTIVITIES

    Come to race but stay for the fun! Your triathlon experience includes a DJ playing great music and yummy post-race treats. This is a family-friendly race venue with a playground on the beach.

    USAT SANCTIONED

    Results will count toward national and regional rankings. All USAT rules and regulations will apply. Racers are subject to time penalties or disqualification for infractions of USAT rules.

    MASSACHUSETTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

    This is a 2026 USA Triathlon State Championships Ranking Point Event. Residents of Massachusetts can earn points which — combined with results in other qualifying races — will be totaled by USA Triathlon at the end of 2026. Note: you must participate in at least three qualifying races to be eligible for State Champion.

    We're back again for the best 4-corner crit in New England!

    The Devens Grand Prix, is a closed-loop, 4-corner criterium within the Devens community - a national model for military base use [Visit devenscommunity.com to learn more]. The course is near the parade grounds and adjacent to the old 1998 Cyclocross Nationals course. Devens is within about a 1-hour drive from Boston and is one of the closest road events to Boston.     There are multiple parking lots and options for parking within a short walk of the course.

    Primary Parking: "The Hidden Park" parking lot, or the South side of Antietam St.

    Secondary Parking: The parking lot off of Jackson Rd. at the intersection of Cavite St. and Jackson Rd.

    • Pre-registration only on BikeReg. Day of registration, if available, for an additional $10

    • A lot of opportunities for racing a 2nd race!

    • Enter a second event for only $20

    • The course is a fun, 0.9 4-corner closed-course criterium, with some hills.

    • USAC permited. All USAC one-day license and rules apply.

    • Please avoid driving down Sherman Ave past Elm Rd, as the road will be closed at Sherman Ave and Buena Vista St. You can drive around the parade field to Jackson Rd. and then to Antietam.

    The road will be closed at Antietam St. and Sherman Ave, when you get to Devens, you'll want to get onto Jackson Rd. and take the turn onto Antietam. The primary parking area will be along the South side of Antietam St. and at "The Hidden Park".

    Stow Bike for the Woods is a family-friendly bike ride on the scenic roads of Stow, Massachusetts, and surrounding towns, in lengths ranging from 5 to 64 miles. Proceeds go to the Stow Conservation Trust which helps preserve open space in this beautiful town.

    Event starts at 9:00am, with registration opening at 8:00am. Parking is free and restrooms are available.

    Fees:

    • Advanced registration: $25 per adult, $15 per child age 12 and under, maximum of $55 per family.

    • Day of ride: $30 per adult, $20 per child age 12 and under, maximum of $60 per family. Sorry, no debit or credit cards accepted on the day of the ride - cash and checks only.

    The event starts at the Center School in Stow, Hartley Road entrance. Enter "Hartley Road, Stow, MA" into your GPS. If you end up at the school’s Great Road entrance, you can park there and just walk around the building until you see our registration tables.

    We will have our usual assortment of awesome free food and drinks at the start, including bagels, bananas, baked goods, as well as coffee and water. These are all thanks to our wonderful sponsors, including Trader Joe's, DDK Coffee Shop, Bagels Plus, Bolton Bean, and Carver Hill Orchard.
