Tri to Inspire, formerly the DJFE Triathlon Race Series, was created to introduce the sport of triathlon to the Sonoma County community in a welcoming, inclusive way. This short-distance event is open to all abilities and is ideal for first-time triathletes and families looking to experience a fun, supportive race environment together.

Athletes may choose between two distance options. The Mini Sprint includes a 100-yard pool swim, a 3-mile bike, and a 1-mile run. The Sprint distance features a 400-yard pool swim, a 9-mile bike, and a 3.1-mile run. Tri to Inspire is a non-competitive, untimed event designed to help participants complete their first triathlon—or simply enjoy the experience without pressure. More experienced athletes are also encouraged to participate and will find a positive, community-focused atmosphere. The race begins with a pool swim at the Finley Aquatic Center, followed by a flat, family- and beginner-friendly bike and run course along the Santa Rosa Creek Trail.

Each athlete’s registration includes a custom finisher medal, swim cap, and athlete goody bag. Proceeds benefit Inspiration Sports Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting youth in Sonoma County through sports camps and fitness-based programs.

Transferring a paid entry simply requires that you log into your BikeReg account and choose the “Transfer” option. • SRCC Event Cancellation Policy. SRCC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event when, in SRCC’s sole discretion, it is reasonably necessary to do so. Circumstances under which cancellation or rescheduling may occur include, but are not limited to, Acts of God, terrorism, community disasters, such as earthquake, fire or flooding, or other unforeseen events reasonably likely to compromise the safety of participants or otherwise interfere with the ability of the club to hold the event. Inclement weather alone will generally not result in a cancellation. Events are held rain or shine. If the event is cancelled:

    1. Participants will be notified as soon as possible.

    2. Depending on the situation, full or partial refunds may be issued in SRCC’s sole discretion.

SRCC relies on fees from our events to continue our stated purpose as a 501(c)(4) non-profit recreational cycling club to ensure our organization is here every year, to continue advocating for riders and putting on the best events in the country. SRCC must honor commitments and contracts many of which are paid in advance of the event and non-refundable. SRCC cannot bear the risk of a disaster alone. Each participant accepts the risk of losing his or her registration fee or other incidental expenses related to participation in the event should circumstances warranting cancellation arise. Thanks for your support and understanding.
