Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry's TURKEY TROT 5K

All events include T-shirts. T-shirt size is guaranteed during Early Bird sign up only. After this date shirts are given out on a first come, first serve basis at packet pick up until supplies are gone.

The 5K course is flat and quick, and offers a pleasant trip through the scenic neighborhoods of Cat Island, Beaufort. Marshals will guide you to the registration and parking areas near the tennis courts. It’s about 2.8 miles from the turn off of Lady’s Island Drive to the event site. Race4Love is a rain or shine event, in the case that severe weather necessitates that Hopeful Horizons cancel the event, your registration fee will be converted to a tax-deductible donation to Hopeful Horizons.

Hopeful Horizons is a Children’s Advocacy, Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center. We create safer communities by changing the culture of violence and offering a path to healing. We provide safety, hope and healing to survivors of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault through evidence-based practices and lead in ending abuse through primary prevention and education.

Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Swamp Stomp 5K, a scenic run through one of the Lowcountry’s most charming coastal towns. Taking place on February 28, 2026, this community event raises vital funds to support The Complete Student, a school dedicated to providing an enriching, well-rounded education for students in grades 5–12.

The race kicks off at 8:00 AM, winding through the picturesque streets of Port Royal, where participants will enjoy beautiful views of local landmarks, peaceful marshes, and the natural Lowcountry scenery that makes this area so special. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or prefer a relaxed walk, everyone is welcome to participate and support a great cause.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each age division, as well as several special categories celebrating the unique spirit of the Swamp Stomp:

After crossing the finish line, stick around to celebrate! Enjoy food from a variety of local food trucks serving both savory bites and sweet treats, and explore our craft show featuring local artisans and vendors, offering unique handmade goods, gifts, and more.

All proceeds from the Swamp Stomp 5K directly benefit The Complete Student, helping ensure students have the academic, social, and creative resources they need to thrive.
