Come run or walk with our local heroes! Join us for a fun-filled event raising funds for our Sardis Volunteer Fire Department! This 5K race will start and finish at the former Riverview Golf Course, Saturday, September 19, 2026. Race begins at 9:00 am with final registrations beginning at 8:00 am. This will be a chip-timed race with timing services by Advanced Sports Timing. Walkers are welcome!! There will be drinks and light refreshments at the finish line.

All proceeds will go to the Sardis Volunteer Fire Department. The men and women on the department volunteer their time and skills to benefit our community. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to them!

Register before race day to ensure you get a Sardis Fire and Rescue Run T-shirt!

    Half Marathon and 5K trail races located in Mountwood Park - 15 miles east of Parkersburg, WV on U.S. Route 50. Take the Volcano Road exit and the main parking lot is about one half mile by the boat ramp. The half marathon has a 4 hour time limit - any participant over 2 hours at the halfway point will be routed to the finish. T-shirts guaranteed if registered by September 6. Runners must be at least 15 years old to participate in the half marathon. Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female in all races.
