At 09:00 on Saturday mornings, a group gathers outside Bright Pours Cafe on Martindale Road in St. Catharines, and that gathering has become the backbone of Coffee Cruisers. Founded in April 2024 by Chloe, a runner and triathlete, the crew exists for a single reason: movement feels better when it ends with good coffee and good people. Chloe saw a gap in the Niagara region, endurance athletes training largely in isolation, without a consistent gathering point or pace-inclusive community. Coffee Cruisers filled it. The crew has grown to around 30 members, a size that keeps things personal. Saturday runs are short and easy, designed for accessibility. Summer brings Tuesday and Thursday track nights at Oakes Park, where tempo work and sprints replace the casual cruise. There is no fee, no application, no pace requirement. You show up at the cafe, run together, then sit down for the harder work of actually connecting.

In October 2019, Colin asked a simple question: "Why not here in St. Catharines?" That spark ignited The Corners Run Crew, a growing community now central to the city's running culture. Built on the mantra "Moderate Pace, Positive Space," The Corners operates as a 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, and body-positive safe space where everyone is welcomed as part of the team. Founder Colin, a 20-year veteran runner, fosters a supportive environment where people define success on their own terms. The crew's weekly rhythm spans Tuesday evening runs at 19:00, Thursday early mornings at 06:30 at Cafe Pique-Nique, and Saturday trail adventures. Beyond weekly runs, The Corners drives advocacy and fundraising through initiatives like Mindful Miles for mental health awareness, The Rundown Challenge, and Hope Runs Free, which supports safer running for women and marginalized populations. Their impact earned recognition from Pride Niagara and the De daw da devs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre, establishing them as a

pillar of community action in Niagara.
