Muscatatuck County Park is one of DINO's favorite race venues. It's a hidden gem for outdoor lovers in Indiana. Featuring a trail system that offers amazing views and ample challenge. The race is located near a gorgeous river valley for kayaking, fishing, or just exploring. Following the Trail Run, multiple mountain bike events ranging from the extreme downhill event to the novice friendly short-track take place Saturday afternoon and Sunday. DINO offers two kayak trips with shuttles Saturday evening.
Camping: Designated sites can be reserved online; festival style camping around Shelter 4 is $3 per person per night. Reserve the festival camping HERE or pay cash to DINO staff if not sold out.
The weekend offers a variety of activities and opportunities that include- trail running, mountain biking racing (three types), kayak shuttle trips, camping, and more!
Saturday, July 12th: Trail Run, Downhill MTB, Sort Track MTB, Kayak trips
Downhill- 2 course options. Timed heat race. Best of 2 attempts time counts.
Short Track- 3 races. .5mile ish loop for 30mins. Most laps wins.
Sunday, July 13th: Cross-country MTB (DINO MTB Series #3)

Three 5K's + One Day = The Melt Down! This challenging event is in it's 11th year. Three consecutive 5K's at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Do one, two or all three races! You can decide that day! Races must be done in order (so no fresh runners in race #2 or race #3). If participants are just doing one race it has to be the 8:00 a.m. race. Races must be finished in 1 hour to allow for the start of the next race. Course is on a beautiful wide, smooth, paved trail through two parks and crosses a historical bridge! Indoor restrooms and a fun, free splash pad and playground for the kiddos located right next to the start/finish. Everyone who finishes the first race races receives a custom MELT DOWN medal. Fun HOT, summer themed t-shirts! Awards for top three male/female and top 3 in age groups in the FIRST race only. Also award for the top male and female best COMBINED times of all three races.
Come join us for the nicest day in small town Indiana! Flat out and back course. The entire run/walk is on pavement and travels out to the Morristown Cemetery, does a small loop in the cemetery and comes back in to town. Course is closed to traffic during the event and provides 3 water stops. The World Famous Kopper Kettle Inn Restaurant sponsors the P.O.G. run and provides beer, wings, cookies and fruit in their beautiful outdoor garden dining area after the race! Kick back and relax! 11:00 is the Derby Days parade if you have time to stick around! Cash awards for 3 overall and 1st - 3rd age groups! Trophies for 19 & Under. Paul Otis Goble (P.O.G.) was a beloved long time track coach for Morristown High School. Proceeds from this event benefit the Morristown Girls & Boys Cross Country and Track Teams and the Paul O. Goble Memorial Scholarship.
