for the seventh Annual Cacapon Enduro
Stages TBD due to all of the trail building going on in the park! We are in the process of building 35 miles of new trail, with funding from this race going directly to support new trails!
As in the past, we are targeting 5 stages at 20+, 3 trips to the top, and 3,500'+ of climbing (for U14 and Sport Class 4 stages, 2 trips to the top, and 2,700'+ of climbing) The course will be a great mix of technical, rocky terrain with some flow thrown in for fun.

The hub of the race will, again, be the Batt Picnic Area at Cacapon Resort State Park. The signs are pretty clear and we will supplement with event signs. Come to the Batt Picnic Shelter to get your chip 7am-9am on Sunday, May 18. After getting your timing chip, you can begin riding up the new climbing trail to the top, Boy Scout. E Bike riders can also ride the road to the top to avoid the crowds on Boy Scout. There will be a fee for lost timing chips. Your chip number is noted in your registration information so please return your chip to registration after you finish your race or there will be a charge..
THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION- YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BY SATURDAY, MAY 17 AT MIDNIGHT
Attendance capped at 250 racers.
This is a "chip and go" race, so arrive to the Batt Picnic Shelter between 8am and 10am to pick up your chip.

The park does not have a campground BUT the park superintendent loves mountain bikers and is setting up a dedicated camping area again this year. This year the campground area will be at the swimming lake parking lot and will be open Friday, September 18 to Sunday September 20. Early set up will be allowed the evening of Thursday, September 17. This camping area is a paved and gravel parking lot suitable for car camping and tent camping. This area can also handle pull behind campers and RV's as well, BUT there is no hook up and NO dump station. Camping will be only $50 for the whole weekend and is first come, first served with sites. We do need an estimate of the number of campers, so please note if camping for the event. Registration for camping will be at the Lodge Front Desk. Just tell them you are there for the Enduro race. The beach bath house will be open for the campers, so HOT showers will be available.
For those unfamiliar with the area, Cacapon State Park is located on US Route 522 at the Virginia-West Virginia state line. It is 30 minutes north of Winchester, Va., 15 minutes south of Berkeley Springs, WV, and 20 minutes west of Martinsburg, WV. This is an easy drive from the DMV, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and everywhere in Va and WV.
Like what you are seeing us do at Cacapon? If so, please donate through the non-profit Foundation so we can continue to develop the trail system. The park has dedicated nearly 1,000 acres to mountain biking and we are about to kick the build into high gear! We will debut the new skills park this year for everyone to enjoy with much more to come! Every dollar helps! Here's the link to make a donation: https://www.crspf.org/mountain-biking/
