Healthy Communities of Clinton County presents Stepping on Stigma 5k

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, this annual 5K run/walk raises awareness for mental health in our community. This year will be our 8th time hosting this race! It is open to anyone who wants to end the silence surrounding mental health and spread the word that it's okay to not be okay. All donations and profits made will be donated to the Buck Up Foundation and other mental health organizations to give back to mental health awareness. In addition, T-shirts are available for purchase as you register, and you have the opportunity to donate directly to this cause. Not only will you get exercise at this event, but also enjoy the available vendors and prizes!

New for 2026, we are offering a kids' run for any child 12 and under. Your child will need to be registered and will run to the end of the block and back. All kids will receive a medal at the end, and are welcome to walk with parents for the 5k if you wish. The kids' race will line up at 9:30 am and start at 9:45 am on race day.

This event is in direct partnership with the Buck Up Foundation.

The camp will take place between 7:00 and 8:30 PM each night from June 1st - June 4th, 2025. Feel free to stick around or drop off your kids and come back to pick them up. They will be under adult supervision at all times.

    Join Beck's for our seventh annual 5K run/walk on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Designed to promote health and wellness, Beck's 5K is a great opportunity for you to get OUT and get MOVING while connecting with the local community and raising money for a great cause! Over the last six years, with your help, we've raised nearly $250,000 to benefit Rock Steady Boxing, American Institute for Cancer Research, Team Rubicon, K9s for Warriors, We Care for Orphans Fund, Safe Haven Baby Boxes, Human Resources Center of Edgar and Clark Counties, Best Buddies International, Bravely Women's Health, Little Angel Gowns and the Indiana Donor Network Foundation.

    Our event is stroller and fur-friendly, so bring your leashed K9 sidekick to run/walk alongside you!

    Packet pick-up will be held Friday, June 5, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in front of Beck's Research Building on the north side of 276th St.

    Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available from 6:30 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. EST on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

    The 5K Run/Walk will start at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. (or immediately following the completion of the 5K, whichever is earlier). Age group awards will be presented around 9:00 a.m.

The race will start at the Kokomo Family YMCA and go through Foster Park, UCT, Kokomo Beach and back on the Walk of Excellence Trail that will lead back to the Kokomo YMCA.
