    Welcome to the 8th Annual Jack Duffy 5K Power Run and 1M Walk! This event is held to honor and celebrate the life of Jack Duffy, a brilliant and kind young man and accomplished runner. Proceeds support youth mental health and suicide prevention.

    The event will take place on SATURDAY, AUGUST 8, including a virtual option. The in-person run and walk will be held in Horsham, PA, starting and ending at the Hatboro-Horsham High School Stadium and continuing along the beautiful, paved Horsham Power Line Trail. Advanced online registration is open through August 7 and is discounted versus race day sign-up. A free t-shirt is available if registered by July 8. Pickup for bibs and shirts will be at check-in on race day beginning at 7:15 am, with the race starting promptly at 8:00.

    Awards for the in-person race will be given to the top three male and female runners as well as the top male and female in each age category. Please join us again this year to honor Jack’s commitment to empower physical and mental health!

Be a part of the USA Triathlon’s USA Kids Tri movement right here in the heart of Bucks County, PA. Back by popular and sold out demand, we are thrilled to welcome you to USA Kids Tri NJ/PA’s culminating east coast race - the 2026 YMCA Kids Triathlon. We welcome many new and returning youth athletes of all skill levels ages 3-15 where all will become finish line champions on race day.     PACKET PICKUP / REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

    Registration is digital. There are no paper applications nor is cash accepted. Everyone must sign up online. Please have the following items easily accessible to maintain the efficiency and speed of Packet Pickup:

    • Required: Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.

    • Required: Proof of ID

    • Required for Annual Members Only: USAT Membership ID

    • Optional: Email Confirmation Bar Code per registrant (Printed or Digital) to scan

    USAT INFORMATION

    All multisport participants must have an active USAT Membership that has not expired before the conclusion of each registered event and must follow all USAT rules and guidelines. If you are not already a member, when registering for each individual event you will be prompted to become a member and pay the respective membership fee.

    Common Rules and Information

    • ALL athletes are required to show photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS!

    • Youth (17 and under) athletes without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID

    • Annual members are required to bring their membership card every time they compete in a USAT Sanctioned event.

    • Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.

    • No drafting: a maximum of 15 seconds will be allowed to complete a pass through the draft zone of another athlete

    • Headphones are prohibited

    • No riding in transition at any time

    • Helmets/Chin straps must be worn securely fastened at all times while in possession of your bike. This means before, during, and after the event. This also means from the time you remove your bike from the rack at the start of the bike leg, until after you have placed your bike on the rack at the finish of the bike leg.

    • Verbal or physical abuse of others is not acceptable or tolerated. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct at all times while at the event and during competition, including the use of abusive language; violent acts; intentional misconduct; or any intimidating behavior directed toward, including but not limited to participants, officials, event staff, volunteers and spectators.

    This year Carpenter Cross will take place in __________________. Of course we are staying in Horsham Township, Pennsylvania, which is located close to PA Turnpike "Exit 343 Willow Grove" and only 40 minutes from Philadelphia and Delaware.

    Registration

    • Racing age is determined by your age on December 31, 2027 (not 2026)

    • Please pre-register to avoid paying $10 day-of fee

    • Registration opens @ 7:15 am and closes 15 min. before the start of each race

    • $12 for additional races

    • Mountain bikes without bar ends are ok to race

    Licensing Requirements

    • USA Cycling license is required to race (Not for KIDS Race)

    • One-Day licenses will be available at the registration table: Beginner $15 | Experienced $35

    Call-up Protocol

    • Order of pre-registration will be called accordingly

    • Riders MUST pre-register to be seeded

    • Staging will begin 10 minutes prior to each race

    Staging

    All racers should present to the start grid 15 minutes prior to the start of their race.

    Lapped Riders

    Lapped riders will finish on the same lap as the leaders. Riders in danger of being lapped must yield to oncoming racers and are not to interfere with their progress or trail behind them.

    Technical Pit

    A double-sided pit will be marked and available approximately half way through the course. If riders enter the pit, they must make some sort of exchange or mechanical adjustment before re-entering course.

    Race Results

    Results will be posted after the conclusion of each race at a location designated by the race director and announced at the start line by the chief referee. After results have been posted racers will have a 15 minute protest period to resolve any discrepancies. It is the racers’ responsibility to verify their result during this 15 minute protest period. After the 15 minute protest period results will be final and will not be changed afterwards. Any further disputes must be addressed in writing via email to the riders Local Association contact.

    Parking

    Use the parking lot in _____________ Park. Please park as close as possible to the vehicle next to you without leaving any big gaps. Please DO NOT park in any of the nearby neighborhoods or across the street.

    Clothing Helmets are required for all riders on bicycles, even when not actively racing (eg, while riding from the parking lot). Per USAC regulations, racers must wear a jersey with sleeves covering the shoulders. No tank tops are allowed. Race radios and earphones for playback (eg, mp3 player) are not allowed while racing.

    Kids Race A fun kids race will start at 12:15 pm for kids too young to race on the real course (10 and Under). A parent must sign the event release form prior to the race, and each kid will be given a race number. Pedal bikes or strider bikes are acceptable. All entrants will receive prizes for participation.

    Food __________________ is proudly supporting this year’s race! Known for its _____________________, _______________________ is a cornerstone in the area and will be on-site to keep everyone fueled all day long.

    Restrooms Park restrooms will be open, as well as a couple extra porta potties located next the restrooms and near the upper corner of the main parking lot.

    Race Cancellation Policy: The course is Horsham Township property. If weather conditions are such that the race would cause significant damage to the property, eg, heavy rains and water drenched grounds prior to and during the event, the race may be canceled. The race promoter will make every attempt to determine prior to race day if the race needs to be canceled, however, under extreme conditions the entire race may need to be canceled on the day of the race. Every effort will be made to hold the race, including making course modifications if necessary. If the race is canceled on the day prior to the race, notification will be sent to all pre-registered racers via email, and via the race's Facebook page. If the race is canceled prior to the event date, then registration fees, minus bikereg fees, will be refunded to those racers.

    Other than these specific weather conditions - there are NO REFUNDS!
