CB Kids Triathlon

Join us for the Stride for Health 5K hosted by the North Broad Physical Therapy Center (NBPTC) on Saturday, April 11th, at 9 am on Temple University's Ambler Campus. The NBPTC offers student-run and clinician-supervised pro bono physical therapy services to uninsured, underinsured, and underserved community members in North Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Our collective goal is to diminish healthcare disparities and enhance quality of life through community partnership, mutual learning, and interprofessional collaboration. Participate by registering to run/walk either in-person or virtually, or consider sponsoring the event! All proceeds contribute to enhancing the quality of care provided at the NBPTC and during community service events. For any inquiries, please contact us at nbptc@temple.edu.

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

High School: We also welcome our High School runners! Our high school students will be running a 2 mile race.

Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

Honor the life and legacy of 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, by hosting the 2026 Manion WOD (Workout of the Day) at your gym, CrossFit box, or ruck club.

The workout - designed to test physical and mental endurance - represents the date Travis made the ultimate sacrifice on 04/29/07. All participants, regardless of ability, are encouraged to push themselves to complete a 400-meter run and 29 weighted back squats, repeated for 7 rounds.

AWARDS:

The 5 Miler, 5k & Duathlon will each be timed and awards will be given out.

The 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk & Kids Only 3k are both not timed.

Overall presented to TOP THREE winners (male & female) in the 5 Miler, 5k & Duathlon as well as top three males & females in each age category:

AGE GROUPS: 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over. No mailing of awards or shirts.

You MUST pick up your award before you leave. If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and it will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else.

Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a shirt BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved shirt for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. (We cannot mail shirts)

Packet Pick details will be emailed 5 days before this event.

Runners may pick up their packets on race morning but it is advised that they pick them up at packet pick up the day before to avoid lines on race day.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WEATHER:

This event is a rain/shine event.

This means that if it rains, this event IS A GO...”skin is waterproof😀”

In the event that we experience any weather that would cause the course to be unsafe, we will cancel the event.

There will be no refunds due to the fact that at this point all of the expenses for a race of this magnitude have been paid for.

Your swag (medal & t-shirt) will be able to be picked-up at yet to be determined SWAG pick up.

It’s important to understand that IF we need to cancel this event due to extreme weather, we will not issue any refunds and we will not reschedule the event this year.

NOTE: We do not issue any refunds, transfers or credits for any reason.

We have the right to revise or cancel the race due to emergency or weather issue....(but we really hope this doesn't happen:-)

The second annual Central Bucks Kids Run will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at Central Bucks High School South. This is a KIDS ONLY event open to all kindergarten through sixth graders. This is a FUN, all-inclusive, kids-only event where students of all ability levels are encouraged to run, jog, and walk with their peers to enjoy a GREAT day of racing. The run will take place completely on the closed grounds of Central Bucks High School South where students will run on the parking lot and driveways. Students from all fifteen elementary schools will be competing in this event, therefore students will be grouped based on their current grade level. All participants will earn a HUGE CB Kids Run medal for completing the race. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each grade level. Come out, HAVE FUN, and enjoy the CB Kids Run!
