Run for Stacy: A Community 5K

We’ve known Stacy as a helper, a good neighbor, a loyal friend — and our favorite “cake therapist.” She’s the kind of person who quietly shows up for others without ever asking for anything in return.

In June 2025, Stacy was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Since then, her world has shifted overnight. She is no longer able to work, and her focus is now fully on treatment, rest, and spending meaningful time with the people she cares about most.

This 5K is our opportunity to return her kindness.

    Why We’re Running

The purpose of this fundraiser is simple: to surround Stacy with tangible support and relieve the financial pressure that comes with serious illness. Proceeds from the race will help cover medical insurance costs and ongoing living expenses, allowing her savings to stretch further during treatment.

Every step taken on race day represents encouragement.

Every registration, donation, and sponsorship represents love in action.

    More Than a Race

This isn’t just about miles — it’s about community.

It’s about showing up the same way Stacy has shown up for so many others.

It’s about standing together in a season that is heavy, choosing hope, generosity, and action.

Whether you run, walk, volunteer, sponsor, or donate, you are helping carry the load.

Because when life gets hard — when the diagnosis is heavy and the road ahead is uncertain — tough things matter.

And how we respond to them matters even more.

This is one of those moments.

    Tough matters.

    And so does Stacy.

    Let’s run for her.

    [runningcrews.com] [runningcrews.com] - Facebook - Instagram

Founded in 2018 by Andrew, the Roebling Runners are a close-knit running crew of about 20 members based in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Named after the iconic Roebling Bridge, their runs celebrate the city’s unique blend of urban energy and natural beauty while fostering a welcoming community. The crew’s relaxed, inclusive vibe embraces runners of all abilities, focusing on connection and exploration rather than competition. Regular Tuesday morning runs start at a local coffee shop with easy routes to the bridge, while longer Saturday runs explore scenic riverbanks and neighborhood streets. By weaving social moments with running adventures, the Roebling Runners build lasting friendships and strengthen ties within Cincinnati’s vibrant running culture. Their small but dedicated group embodies the spirit of the city, making running an opportunity to discover shared history, support one another, and experience the rhythms of life along the Ohio River.
