Spearfish Shred Squad Youth Mountain Bike Program
Get ready to ride, learn, and have a blast this summer with the Spearfish Shred Squad! This youth mountain biking program is designed to help kids ages 6-12 to build confidence, improve skills, and develop a love for riding—all in a fun, supportive group environment.
Program Details:
Dates: June 1 – July 1
Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 AM
Locations:
• Mondays: Spearfish Park – drills + nearby trail riding
• Wednesdays: Sandstone Park – drills + local trail riding

What to Expect Each Practice:
Each session is structured to keep kids engaged, progressing, and having fun:
• 10 min: Warm-Up (shake out the wiggles!)
Day 1 includes welcome + icebreaker game
• 15 min: Skill Introduction & Demo
• 20 min: Fun, Skill-Focused Drills
• 35 min: Trail Ride to Apply Skills
• 10 min: Game or Challenge
• 5 min: Wrap-Up + “Skill of the Day” Recap
