Run the Vineyards 8th Annual 5K at Harvest Ridge Winery - a family farm winery nestled in the beautiful Delaware countryside...Harvest Ridge welcomes participants back to the picturesque winery with delicious reds, whites, and sweet wines to enjoy at the after-party!

Runners and walkers of all ages and paces welcome to participate in this awesome 5K course featuring a fun, flat run through this one-of-a-kind property, featuring 2 vineyards, a wooded trail, crownstone marker of the historical Mason-Dixon line, and some country roads!

More than a Race...Run the Vineyards is a unique running series that strives to provide families and friends a memorable running experience and opportunities to create new traditions.

Race Features:

  • Professionally Chip-Timed 5K with Instant Results. Race starts at 9 AM.

  • Custom Tech Tee included. Women's, Men's/unisex, Youth sizes. Upgrade to Women's Racerback Tank Top for $5 extra. Men's Tank available for no added fee. *Please Register by June 7 to guarantee first choice. Many extras ordered and available while supplies last after June 7.

  • Complimentary Glass of Wine for all finishers over 21.

  • Run the Vineyards Stemless Wine Glass included

    Alpha Phi Alpha's Mission is to develop leaders, promote brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.

    The Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter 5K Run/Walk is a community-driven event aimed at promoting health and wellness while raising funds for a noble cause.

    The proceeds from this event will directly contribute to the fraternities national projects which are listed below. Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter has a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.

    1. "Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College" (to decrease high school dropout rates and increase the number of young men attending and graduating from college).

    2. Big Brothers Big Sisters (Partnership to increase the number of African American mentors for our youth).

    3. Project Alpha (to provide young men, ages 12-18 with accurate information on sexual health, responsibility and teenage pregnancy from a male perspective).

    4. Boy Scouts of America (To provide character building and leadership training for young men).

    These programs are considered the "hallmark" of Alpha Phi Alpha's commitment to service and leadership. We look forward to a successful event supporting our fraternity national programs.

    Race amenities include an event T-shirt to be given to the first 100 registrants along with participation medals. We will serve free hotdogs and hamburgers at the conclusion of the race, but, you must register.

    NAME OF EVENT

    • 47th Annual Great Wyoming Buffalo Stampede 10K/5K Run and 5K Competitive Walk

    LOCATION & PARKING:

    • Wyoming Park is located on Third Street in Wyoming, DE (The park will be on your right). Please park along the railroad tracks and walk to the park. Race Note- Do not park at Mike & Mel’s Restaurant.

    COURSE:

    • 5K/10K, USTAF CERTIFIED course on mostly paved roads through orchards and scenic countryside. Water will be provided before, during, and after the race.

    RACE START TIME:

    • 10K start time - 8:00 am

    • 5K run and 5K competitive walk start time - 8:00 am

    • Lead Runners for the 5k & 10k will be up front and all other participants will line up according to your pace. 5k walkers will line up in the back of the pack.

    REGISTRATION:

    • Feb. 17th - June 30th..."Early Bird" price for the 5K run and 5K competitive walk is $35 and the 10K run is $40

    • July 1st - July 17th..."Pre-Registration" price for the 5K run and 5K competitive walk increased to $40 and the 10K run to $45

    • July 18th..."Race Day" price will be $45 for the 5k run and 5K competitive walk and $50 for the 10k run

    WAYS TO REGISTER:

    • Online Registration through RUNSIGNUP here at this site. The easiest and most popular way to register for Seashore Strider events.

    • Race Day/On-Site Registration beginning at 7 am in Wyoming Park at the Start/Finish area. Participants are encouraged to pre-register

    • Rain or Shine and no refunds or deferrals.

    PACKET PICK-UP:

    • On race day, pick up bib and t-shirt at registration tables starting at 7:00am in Wyoming Park at the Start/Finish area

    • If the Event has over 200 Pre-Registered we will consider an early pick-up on Friday...Registered Participants will be notified.

    AWARD PICK-UP:

    • Seashore Striders will have Result QR Codes to scan to verify your chip time and finish position. You can pick up your award at the post-race results party in front of Brown’s Tavern. (Approximately between 9:30 & 10am). Please do not ask for your awards early. All awards are final and will not be mailed to winners.

    RACE SWAG:

    • Short Sleeve Tech T-Shirt and timing chip. Shirts are guaranteed for individuals registered by June 30, 2026.

    POST-RACE PARTY:

    • The post-race party will take place at the birthplace of the race...Brown’s Tavern. Music and one free Beer will be provided at no charge. Food will be available for purchase

    RACE TIMING:

    • Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using ChronoTrack B Chip Timing System.

    SAFETY GUIDELINES:

    • We strongly discourage unofficial entrants (bandits) from competing in our race. Bandits consume scarce resources and can delay or inhibit accurate race results. Unregistered runners, running with dogs and strollers, rollerblading, riding a bicycle, and the wearing of headphones are prohibited on the race course at any time, to ensure runner safety and to comply with liability insurance standards.
