  On June 17th, 2018, Our Lord, who art in Heaven, received the greatest Father’s Day gift of all time. This world lost a best friend, co-pilot, treasure hunter, adventurer, partner-in-crime, artist, hero, cancer-fighter and all around rock-star kid. Christian James Albain, 10, of Toledo, OH, passed away in the arms of his loving parents after a valiant battle with leukemia at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH. He was born August 23, 2007 in Toledo, OH to Christopher Albain and Brittney Styer. Christian came into this world with a natural kindness and the ability to make friends with everyone he met. He loved his family, above all else, and will always be idolized by his siblings, cousins and numerous other family and friends. Christian’s superpower was having a heart big enough to fit everyone he knew. Christian will always be our "Little Hero" and this annual memorial event will be held to forever honor Christian's life.

  This early season duathlon is perfect to dust off those bikes and get ready for multi-sport season. This event is great for experienced athletes as well as those wanting to try their first duathlon. Both of the run courses are within Secor Metropark on hard packed gravel trails and the bike course is a two loop course on surrounding roads.

  The RELAY CHALLENGE is a community event for 6-12 grade students of Sylvania and Sylvania Township to participate in a unique and memorable experience. The Relay will include as many as 20 teams, made up of ten (10) members each. Each participant will run or walk at least one mile at a time, then pass the timing chip to the next member, and so on. This process will continue for the entire event.

  While the teams are circling the track, there will be continuous activities, entertainment, and food -- plus a chance to meet others who choose a healthy lifestyle. Without a doubt, it will definitely be hours of memorable fun for everyone

  The 5K course will be run in Olander Park (3ish loops). The finish/start line will be located at the Nederhouser Community Hall where a brief post race club meeting will be held. This year we will be back to the usual feeding frenzy meal and refreshments!

  The run will be time graded with a staggered start. Slower runners will start first followed by faster runners grouped according to previous times. Theoretically, runners will finish at approximately the same time. Each runner will be required to state their best 5K time from the preceding 2 years (approximately May 2024 through May 2026). In the event you haven’t raced a 5K in the last year, figure out a pace from a previous race at any distance and convert using a standard race time conversion chart. The clock will start at 6:30 around 48 minutes and count down. Planning to run in 26 minutes? Start at 26:00! Planning to run in 19 minutes? Start at 19:00! There will be no age group or sex division awards. This is a fun run. Come for the Frantic Finish!

  Price for TRRC members is $12.00. Price for non-members is $18.00. Additional $2.00 discount per participant for families of three or more. Discounts are taken during payment. If you need to pay by check, please reach out to the race director at least 10 days before race day.

  Race day entry will be available until 10:00am on May 19th. All entries must be done through RunSignup. NO REGISTRATIONS, cash, or checks will accepted that evening.
