SUPPORTING OVERALL CHILDHOOD HEALTH AND WELL BEING

Columbia Basin Health Association (CBHA) is organizing the CBHA 5k Color Run | Run For A Cause, which is set for an in-person fun run or walk! This event increases awareness of childhood health and well being along with supporting families and improving education to maintain wellness for children. THIS ISN'T JUST ANOTHER RUN

The CBHA 5k Color Run | Run for a Cause is less about making record time and more about having the time or your life. It’s a family-friendly event where runners, walkers, strollers, and wagons are all welcome! We anticipate more than 500 participants of all ages running or walking the 5k course on the last Saturday of August. Stay tuned for more details during the coming months!

    The Fresh Picks Cherry Blossom Run is a beautiful features magnificent course(s) through Rowley & Hawkins Fruit Farms located near Basin City, Washington. It Features a 1 mile, 5k and 10k courses. The courses are designed to run through the most blossoms possible. Each route will travel on mostly hard packed dirt/ some gravel/dirt farm roads and down beautiful orchard rows with millions of blossoms. The 1mi is fairly flat and easy for all kids and ages to do, the 5k has some hills but also takes you through a variety of other cherry blossoms. The 10k will take you by the apples, peaches, apricots, sweet cherries, tart cherries, and vast open fields to show you some of eastern Washington's best countryside! Our families are 7th generation cherry farmers. The Rowley and Hawkins Fruit Farms and families were the pioneer growers in the Pacific Northwest and the first to grow Tart Cherries in WA State. We would like to invite you and your family to come enjoy one of the most beautiful times of

    the year on our farm. Runners (and walkers) of all ages are welcome. Each runner will receive a race t-shirt, swag bag with: products from our farm, coupon to our store "Fresh Picks Fruit and Smoothies", a participation medal, and other items from sponsors of the race. Bring a friend and or the kids and we look forward to seeing you on race day!

    9:00 am - Same day registration and Check-in opens

    10:15 am - 10K --- Heat 1

    10:30 am - 5K --- Heat 2

    10:45 am 1 mile --- Heat 3

    11:00 am - 5K --- Heat 4

    11:15 am - 5K --- Heat 5

    11:30 am - 1 mile --- Heat 6

    11:45 am - 1 mile/5k --- Heat 7

    Will the race be timed? YES! This year we are excited to have the race timed by Negative Split.

    Is Parking close by? Yes. the parking area for the race is adjacent to the start and finish lines.

    Is there Food at the location? Yes, there will be a food court with hamburgers and hotdogs and other local farm fresh products...

    Are there Bathrooms and water along the race routes? Yes there are bathrooms and water stations along the routes.

    Are there other activities that will be happening at the same time? Yes, there will be a hayride tour of the blossoms, cherry water races and tether ball for the kids and more...

    We will once again offer a " Medicine Cup" competition for medical clinics and offices to have the top team win the "CUP".

    Medicine cup entries close May 16, 2025.

    Entry prior to May 10, 2025 includes a race T shirt. Entries taken after that date cannot be guaranteed a shirt.

    Entries starting May 14 late entry pricing of $35.

    There is a multi family discount ( 2 adults/ 2 kids) pricing.

    Children 12 and under registration is $15.00 for the 5 K run/walk or 10 K run.

    Bib / Shirt pickup May 22 - 4-7 pm will be at the Old Tri State Parking Lot 1224 S Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, WA 98837

    Race Day Bib/Shirt pickup May 23 Surf N Slide Water Park Parking Lot - 6:45- 7:45 am

    Spring Fest 10 K run starts at 8 am. The 5 K run/walk starts at 8:05 am. Course closure is 9:30 am.

    No dogs allowed on course but welcome to cheer on their favorite runners along the way!

    Strollers allowed but please line up towards the back of the race.

    Awards to overall male and female finisher for 5 K and 10 K

    Age group awards for Top 3 finishers male, female ( 1-6, 7-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50- 59, 60-69, 70-79, +Grandmasters )

    Awards will be based on AGE ON RACE DAY.
