Iowa Championship Open Water Swim Series

Celebrate the start of St. Joseph Fun Days by participating in the 5K Race or Kids Fun Run on the evening of May 29th! This year's event will kick off with a Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under at 6:30PM, followed by the 5K Race at 7:00PM. For the 5K race prizes will be awarded for the top overall male and female finishers, top age group finishers, and random finishers.

THE START/FINISH LINE WILL AGAIN BE ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS, NEAR THE BINGO TENT. RUNNERS WILL NOW START AND FINISH IN THE HEART OF THE FUN!

Packet Pick-Up will be available THURSDAY, May 28th from 6-7PM at the St. Joseph Church parking lot or FRIDAY, May 29th 5:00-6:00PM.

Join us for the second annual Spokes of Hope bike ride! Participants from many communities will come together to ride bikes, cheer on loved ones battling cancer, celebrate those who’ve won the fight and uplift the memories of brave fighters they may have lost. There will be three routes available to ride for different levels of expertise. Enjoy stops at some of Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas most enjoyable establishments.

Before the ride, take a look at our silent auction items, grab a drink, join the 50/50 raffle, and tie a ribbon on our tire artwork in honor/in memory of someone in your life who faced their own cancer battle. After the ride there will be live music at the Sag Wagon and the silent auction winners will be announced.

Your participation will benefit the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center Hope Fund. The Hope Fund provides financial aid to help cancer patients purchase nutritional supplements, healthy meals, care related supplies, along with providing transportation to and from appointments and treatment. Knowing that help is available, if needed, makes such a difference to patients and their families. Help us reach even more patients by signing up today!

The Cedar Rapids Marathon Weekend, which includes a marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10K, 5K and Kids Run is an exciting new event with a distance for all on a weekend that celebrates movement and the community. Join us as we run, walk, and move together in the heart of Eastern Iowa!

The Pigman Sprint Triathlon is a favorite for top pros, serious amateurs, recreational racers, and first-time triathletes. This .5K swim, 25K bike and 5K run sells out very quickly because it's the perfect way to start your summer triathlon racing season. The Pigman Olympic Distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike, and 10k run) ups the challenge.

Relay Teams

Relay teams are welcome at the Pigman. Top Male, Female or Coed teams will win awards.

Time-Trial Swim Start Format

Elite athletes and teams will start in waves beginning at 7:30am. All other athletes will start in a Time-Trial format. For the Time-Trial start, athletes will line up according to their respective age group wave (Triathlon age is based on your age as of 12/31 of race year). One person will start every 3 seconds by crossing over the chip timing mat on the beach before entering the water.
