MOAB Bike Shop presents THE SUMMER MTB SHORT-TRACK SERIES at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, TN

Think you’ve got the legs and lungs to dominate tight corners, punchy climbs, and all-out sprints? Prove it. This is grassroots racing with grit — a fast, furious short-track MTB series built for speed, skill, and serious bragging rights.

Head-to-Head Racing

Pick individual races or race all six (to earn more series points!)

Choose from: 20 minute + 1 lap (beginner) at 5:45PM or 30 minute + 1 lap (advanced) at 6:30PM

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO:

Riders competing for overall series standings MUST register for the category labeled: “POINTS/PODIUM RACE”. Only riders in those categories will receive series standings points. See website for more details on points.

CASH PRIZES + AWARDS + PRIZES

This event will include prizes, cash payouts and some cool swag. Please note the categories that will be eligible for Podium/Series points. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers. *Podium awards/cash prizes will be presented as each race is completed. 4:00PM-5:30PM: Check-in/Registration/Course Pre-Ride (onsite) *online registration will close at 4:00pm (day of race)

5:45PM - 20 MIN (+ 1 lap) RACE BEGINS (*podium following race)

6:30PM - 30 MIN (+ 1 lap) RACE BEGINS (*podium following race)

COURSE: ~1 MILE (1 lap) *course will change each week to keep things spicy!

RULES/LICENSES

This will not be a USA Cycling-sanctioned event. Every participant must sign a participant waiver. If you are under 18, an Adult or Guardian must sign it for you.

SPECTATORS/VOLUNTEERS

If you and/or any friends/family members do not plan to ride, please register as a Spectator or sign up to Volunteer with us! We recommend bringing camp chairs, rain gear (if necessary), bug spray, sunscreen, cowbells, etc.

    The Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, TN is again our host for the Olympic and Sprint Triathlon. Custom shirts & socks for all participants. Unique awards to top 3 M & F finishers, top M & F

    Masters and 3 deep in 5 year age groups. All events are USA Triathlon sanctioned events.

    Race start time is 8 AM Central Time - Arrive at site no later than 7:00 AM for ample time for parking, packet pickup and getting ready for event starting promptly at 8 AM. Late registration / packet pickup Friday from 5:30 - 7 PM & Saturday from 6:15 to 7:30 AM. Come to transition parking at Montgomery Bell State Park. Go to the red tent for packet pickup. Pre-race "walk through" will begin at 6 PM also with question & answer session.

    We will not have the Endurance distance this year.

    • The swim takes place in Acorn Lake - meaning no current & no large swells.

    • The bike is a flat to hilly bike course that is perfect for athletes of all abilities.

    • The run is a challenging out and back course with Aid/Water stations along the course.

    Age Groups and Awards: Overall awards for the top three male and female finishers & top three male and female masters. Age group awards for first, second, and third place in the following M & F age groups: 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45- 49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Also available are Aquabike and Relay divisions.

    Reference: - Acorn Lake water temperature expected to be in lower 80's degrees by race day. USAT wetsuit legal water temp is 78 degrees or lower. An official reading will be taken race morning.

    Bald Eagle Event have enabled event insurance for your consideration in the event you are unable to compete. Please review this option during the registration process. Athlete event TRANSFERS have been enabled up to 2 weeks prior to event with a $15 fee.

    All Bald Eagle Events triathlon events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon. When a race sanctions with USAT, it is required for each participant to purchase either a one-day license or annual membership in order to participate in said event. A one-day USAT license is $15 and an annual USAT membership is $50. Either can be purchased when signing up for the event. A youth one day or annual USAT license is $10.     Bald Eagle Events has a NO REFUND policy. Insurance is available during the registration of each event. Please take advantage of this option should you wish to insure your entry fees. Athlete event TRANSFERS have been enabled up to 2 weeks prior to event with a $5 fee.

    Race entries are non-transferable between individuals.

    Event Cancellation / Modification Policy - If Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, our action steps are as follows:

    1. Bald Eagle Events LLC in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first. 2. Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between Bald Eagle Events LLC and local officials 3. Financial: It is not financially feasible for Bald Eagle Events LLC to accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races. The money you paid is spent developing the subject event. 4. Bald Eagle Events LLC does not save any money if one of our events has to be canceled for reasons beyond our control. All supplies and services needed for the events are purchased and/or arranged in advance. All event supplies and services associated with that event must be paid for, regardless of the outcome.

    Challenge yourself at our third-annual Run Duck Run Duathlon! This run-paddle-run 10K route features a ~1.5-mile run on a rubber greenway followed by a ~2-mile paddle on the scenic Duck River and

    finishing strong with a ~2.5-mile trail run along the Duck River Trail. You can expect a variety of running terrain including grass, rubberized greenway, pavement, and trail! All skill levels are welcome. Must be proficient at kayaking on Class 1 water. Life Jackets are required. Aid stations will be placed at each river access for participants before and after paddling.

    All participants will receive event swag including t-shirt, finisher medal, post-race drink, and snack!

    Start/Finish Location: Henry Horton State Park at Shelter 4

    There is a 3-hour time limit on the course with rangers conducting a sweep to ensure everyone leaves the event safely.

    This event will be occurring during the Duck River Outdoor Expo! The expo is July 10th – 12th, 2026, and benefits Henry Horton State Park and the conservation of the Duck River. We consider the main event to take place on Saturday, July 11th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Through a variety of interactive exhibits, presentations, and events, attendees can learn about local wildlife, our conservation efforts, and sustainable outdoor practices.

    Calling all thrill-seekers, trail-blazers, and pedal-pushers — it's time to hit the dirt!

    Join us for an epic day of twists, turns, roots, rocks and major bragging rights at

    the 3rd annual Hammer Drop Henry Horton, sponsored by MOAB Bike Shop, a one-day Mountain Bike Race + Festival for all ages on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

    Location: Henry Horton State Park. South Horton Mountain Bike Trail System, Skeet Range Rd., Chapel Hill, TN 37091

    This scenic trail system is managed by the Tennessee State Park Rangers and local volunteers. They have a tough network of fun, fast, flowy and challenging trails that you would expect from a course nestled in Middle Tennessee.

    This event will include a unique and challenging trail, awards and some cool swag. Come out and RACE or just come spectate! Plus the entire family can enjoy camping, food trucks, beverages, vendors and plethora of activities at the Duck River Outdoor Expo (Friday-Sunday)! Learn more HERE.
