Get ready for the excitement – Rain or shine, our the 2nd Annual Run the Bubble 5k is here! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, we've got a spot for you!

Lace up those sneakers and join us Sunday, May 17, 2026 @ 8 am to Run the Bubble! The starting and finishing line will be at the Neighborhood Club Recreation and Wellness Center.

    This race course has 2-way traffic on the Ganatchio Trail in the Little River Corridor and due to participant safety and space constraints, we ask no running strollers or dogs on course for Moon in June.

    Jonesy’s Run is a 5K run/walk in honour of Windsor’s Bob Jones, a former assistant coach for the Ottawa Senators, who passed away from of ALS on July 26, 2024 at the age of 54.

    Bob became a vocal advocate for ALS research awareness after his diagnosis in 2022.

    All proceeds from this annual event will benefit The ALS Society of Windsor-Essex County, assisting persons living with ALS and their families while contributing to research that leads to a cure.

    Join us on the paved trail at Tecumseh’s Lakewood Park South on Saturday, June 27 to remember and celebrate Bob Jones! Registration will be limited to 400 persons. The 5K route will be 3 full laps around the park’s paved outer trail. Runners and walkers will start at different times due to the narrow path.

    We will have awards for top 3 male & female plus 1st in each 10 year age category kindly supplied by The Windsor Spitfires!

    Please Note: parking is limited at Lakewood Park. Please plan to arrive early, consider carpooling with friends or parking on area side streets.

    • 7:30am – Race Day Registration if not sold out in advance online through Race Roster

    • 8:45am – Ace's 200m Kids Dash

    • 8:50am – Bomber's Kilometre Kids Run

    • 9:00am – 5K Run

    Where can I pick up my packet? You can pick up your packet starting at 7:00 am on race day. Parking is free and close by in case you want to run back to your car to drop off or change into your t-shirt!

    What time do the races start? The 2 mile, 5k, and 10k all begin at 8:30 am. The Kid's Fun Run begins when the other races have wrapped up, around 10 am.

    Can I bring my stroller? What about my dog? We are stroller and furry-friend friendly! Bring your kiddos and your pup for a morning of family fun.

    How far is the Kid's Fun Run? The Kid's Fun Run is about 400 yards. They get their own medals!

    Does everyone get a shirt and a medal? Yes! All registered runners/walkers will receive a shirt and medal.
