    Course Description

The majority of the Cuyamaca 100k course lies within the boundaries of Cuyamaca Rancho State Park approximately one hour east of San Diego.  The course consists of three distinct loops, all of which start and end at Camp Cuyamaca off of Highway 79.  Each loop covers a different set of trails with minimal backtracking and repetition.  The first and longest loop of 31.5 miles traverses the western side of the park from south to north and approaches the summit of the park's high point, Cuyamaca Peak, at 6500'.  The second loop is 12.6 miles, and takes in the southeast corner of the park near Oakzanita Peak.  The final loop of 18.3 miles brings runners through northern section of the park, briefly leaves the park and enters Anza Borrego, and travels along the PCT overlooking spectacular desert views, before returning to Cuyamaca's northern meadows and returning south to the finish. The 2026 Cuyamaca 100K is a 2027 Western States qualifying race.

A Southern California Trail Classic Set in the rugged and scenic mountains of eastern San Diego County, the Noble Canyon 50K & 15K Trail Races deliver a high-desert/mountain adventure steeped in raw beauty and trail running grit. Whether you're chasing an ultra challenge or testing your speed on the shorter course, this race offers an unforgettable experience through the Cleveland National Forest — a wild and protected landscape that feels miles away from the city bustle. This USATF-sanctioned event is operated under a special permit on National Forest land, with the USDA as an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender. Course Description Both courses start and finish at 8631 Pine Creek Road in Pine Valley, CA. The 50K begins at 6:30 AM with a mandatory pre-race briefing at 6:15 AM. Runners can expect a rugged out-and-back journey through the historic Noble Canyon Trail system — a course known for its rocky climbs, exposed ridgelines, and fast descents. The terrain is technical and

varied, featuring stretches of pine forest, open granite-studded slopes, and canyon switchbacks that offer sweeping views of the Laguna Mountains. The 15K kicks off at 7:30 AM after a 7:15 AM briefing and provides a shorter, but still challenging taste of the same rugged terrain. It's perfect for newer trail runners or those looking for a fast and scenic mountain race.Elevation gain is significant on the 50K, rewarding those who come prepared for a true mountain ultra. With temperatures that can shift quickly, runners should be ready for heat in the canyons and crisp winds at higher elevations. Aid Station and Support Runners will be supported by a team of dedicated volunteers across multiple well-stocked aid stations (locations and exact mileage will be shared in the race packet). Expect hydration, electrolytes, and essential fueling options to keep you going through the ups and downs of the course.Course volunteers also assist with safety across highway crossings, shuttling supplies, and

helping runners stay on track throughout the event. Runner Experience The Noble Canyon experience is as much about community as it is about competition. From the early morning buzz of race day parking to the trail camaraderie shared along the climbs, this event draws trail runners who respect the challenge and embrace the beauty of the wilderness. Race parking opens at 5:00 AM, with on-site parking available and directed by staff. The vibe is low-key, runner-focused, and built around the joy of running hard in a beautiful place. Whether you're pushing for a PR or soaking up your first trail race, the Noble Canyon atmosphere will lift your spirits all the way to the finish line.Don’t forget to tag your race day and training moments with #NobleCanyon50K — your stoke might just inspire someone else to toe the line next year. Practical details 15K On-Site Registration closes at 7:00 AM sharp, so plan to arrive early if you're registering day-of. Pre-race briefings take place at 6:15 AM for the

50K and 7:15 AM for the 15K.Parking is available on-site and opens at 5:00 AM. Follow staff instructions upon arrival to ensure a smooth and organized parking experience.Weather in the Cleveland National Forest can be unpredictable. Runners should come prepared for a range of conditions, including heat in the lower canyons and cooler, breezy temperatures at higher elevations. Proper hydration, sun protection, and trail-ready gear are strongly recommended. Volunteer Opportunities These races wouldn’t be possible without the help of an incredible volunteer team. If you're interested in giving back to the trail community — whether through course marking, sweeping, aid station support, highway safety, or logistics — we’d love to have you on board! To volunteer, please email the race director at [email protected]. Volunteering is a great way to connect with fellow runners, enjoy the outdoors, and be a vital part of race day success. Event's current local time: 1:22 AM PT

Chismosas Run Club was founded in July 2024 with a single premise: transform the ancient practice of "chisme" into community on foot. In Escondido's North County, chisme means sharing information and fostering close bonds. They gather (most) Thursday mornings at 06:30 at the Kit Carson Park (by the snake sculpture), running a chill 5K through rolling terrain before anchoring with a nice ritual of complimentary coffee and chisme. Monthly trail adventures around the many North county trails range from 10K- 10-miles with a post-run coffee circle and no one getting left behind. No pace requirements, no fees, no thresholds. The crew's philosophy balances reverence for community wisdom with an invitation to simply show up.

The concrete snake at Kit Carson Park's playground doesn't look like much. But every Wednesday at 18:00, it becomes sacred ground for Nobody Cares Run Club. The crew started in August 2020 when Chris Apodaca and Jonny Soto, stuck at home during lockdown, posted their daily runs as a friendly competition. The name came from brutal honesty: nobody really cares if you post your runs. Instead of letting that deflate them, they leaned in. The Instagram posts kept coming, but motivation shifted from external validation to internal drive. What began as a joke between two friends slowly attracted others tired of performative fitness culture. Now 50 members of all speeds and experience gather regularly at the snake, celebrating effort over outcome and authentic connection over splits. They run for themselves first, which somehow makes the community stronger.
