The Beechworth Beer Run brings everything you love about trails and ales into a single epic event.
You get to run sweet, flowing trails that aren't usually accessible to runners outside of this
event, plus a great weekend getaway location in the mid north of Victoria's ale, wine, foodie and history region, and of course, amazing craft beer, all sensibly hosted and presented in a family friendly environment.
Tour de Trails and Bridge Road Brewers bring you this great social running event that uses the famous Indigo Epic Mountain Bike Trail.
The 30km race will be a bus-supported, point-to-point race following the Indigo Epic from Yackandandah to Beechworth while the 15km and 5km events will be looped courses that start and finish in Beechworth, at Lake Sambal.
Even though this is a Beer Run, the event is open to all ages and will be very family focussed. All over-18 entries will receive a free beer at the completion of the event or two free cans of soft drink for those under 18 years of age.
On course we will have alcohol-free beer at a key checkpoint along with everything else you would expect to see at a trail run aid station including Tailwind Nutrition.
So come Run, Stay and Play at Beechworth with us this October - get your running lederhosen out as it's perfect timing for Oktoberfest!
See you in Beechworth!
Yours in ales and trails,
the Tour de Trails event team.
A POLITE NOTE REGARDING REFUNDS / TRANSFERS
If you want to cancel your entry, you must do so prior to 1 September, 2026, and have notified event organisers before COB on this date.
Email [email protected].
You will receive your entry fee in refund less a $30 administration fee.
If you withdraw from the event and notify the event organiser AFTER 1 September 2026, you will NOT receive a refund under ANY circumstances.
Why? Well, it’s complex, but essentially a lot of the money that comes in from entry fees has already been spent well prior to race day on things like course logistics, insurance, materials, hiring of infrastructure, staff etc. Trust us, no one’s trying to diddle anyone here – we’re not in outdoor recreation industry to be millionaires, trust us! Feel free to chat to us about the ins and outs – we’re pretty honest peeps.
And no, you cannot transfer your entry to a future event. Please do not ask as refusal seems to offend!
YOU CAN, HOWEVER, TRANSFER YOUR ENTRY TO ANOTHER PERSON WHO CAN RUN ON THE DAY. See FAQs on website for details.

BARKIN’ MAD ULTRA 2026
Is a walk or run to help support Aus Hair of the Dog Resuce Inc. There are the following distances: 2km, 5km, 10km, 20km and 50km.
WHAT IS THE BARKIN’ MAD ULTRA?
For the third
year running, we bring you the Barkin Mad Ultra. What better way to spend a weekend than running with your best friend on beautiful native forest trails.
YOU DO NOT Need a Dog to Enter!
The Barkin’ Mad Ultra 2026, bought to you by Aus Hair of the Dog Inc., is an ultrarunning festival that celebrates the human animal bond. Dogs running to save dogs. Ultrarunners, let alone trail runners, are a different breed of people. Often the best running companions are those of the canine persuasion.
This event welcomes 400+ runners and walkers to challenge themselves and their four legged friends to collectively raise $30,000+ to support the work done by the Aus Hair of the Dog Inc. and educate on the predicament of the Baw Baw Shire dog shelter.
WHY?
Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc. is a Victorian based rescue that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of dogs. Here are a just a few reasons the Barkin' Mad Ultra was established:
Funding to house rescue dogs as they wait for their FurEver homes
Create new economies for local communities
Get more people into wild places
Enhance the human animal bond
We have the chance to help make positive pawprints for change!
